Anybody else who followed the Knicks back in the 90s will remember what Reggie Miller was to that team. No matter how good the Knicks seemed or how crappy the Pacers seemed, Reggie was always there to crap all over the Knicks season. Im starting to feel like that is going to be Willis McGahee's role for the Jets. And itll probably be going on for the next decade or so.
Willis won't be effective 10 years from now. I wouldn't worry to much about it. You can't compare a one-dimensional 2 guard to a RB.
i woudl actually punch willis in the face if i saw him..he would prolyl beat me to within an inch my life afterwards, but id love to hit him right in the mouth
But WIllis McGahee isn't generally GOOD. Reggie Miller was. McGahee can't average over 66 yards when he doesn't play against a crappy run defense.
At least the Jets won some games while McGahee tore it up...Yes the Knicks did as well, but more often it was Cheryl who destroyed the Knicks with her 3's.
i hate reggie miller more than anyone on earth probably. in the 90's he destroyed the knicks, everytime he played them, single-handidly. i hate that scrony m'fer
Not a bad comparison. Ill give you that one. Hopefully the Bills get rid of him when he becomes a free agent being that his asking price will probably be too high.
Who cares. Just like Reggie Miller. Magahee will always lose to us. (For except today) and will never win a championship.
I was really hoping McGahee wasn't going to play today, but guess that was the wrong thing to think. He's a good running back, who did great today against this Jets defense. Nothing else to really say.
Meh. McGahee still has some hair. In all seriousness he won't beat up on the Jets once Mangini/Tannenbaum/Sutton put a competent run defense on the field. I wouldn't worry.
i like the analogy, but i hate him...such a let down this week, im not sure if it was just a green bay hangover or what...
And ya know, for all the blame Spike Lee got for that game, the Knicks still ended up winning the series.
I wonder if they showed on TV what was going on on the sidelines and in the stands. There were these two Bills fans sitting on the 50 on the visitors side, 2nd row with their shirts off from the middle of the third quarter on. ONe of em had been wearing a McGahee jersey and was waving it. So this dude from NFL films comes down to film them. As they are doing it they get Mcgahees' attention and he starts blowing kisses, bowing, laughing, bowing again, blowing more kisses, pretending to conduct an orchestra, dancing, curtseying....I'm not exagerating here. This was going on for ten minutes and Mcgahee was way over the top. I thoughht it was funny because that stuff really doesn't make me mad. They won, so they can gloat.....but the drunker fans were getting really angry. I'm pretty sure the whole episode will be on Inside the NFL.
