Has this thread gotten derailed bc a fan expects 10 wins? Are we that level of collective losers as a fan base that someone expecting a 10 win season creates outrage?
Out of interest why are you bringing it back up, asking a question to keep the derailment going It was more of a demand and a reaction to the overall postage of said user if you need to really know the ins and outs of everything. I am hoping for 10 wins this season after we have improved the squad or put the other way I expect 10 wins period!!! Ah well on it rolls
I happen to think his posts are just the opposite. Does every one think you are such a highly informed poster????. He gets like "likes" for a reason ...the same way you and I do. "He has no idea what he's talking about">>>>>>>>>highly subjective But thanks for your insight
If I knew this much personal attack would happen, I wouldn’t have started this thread. Locking this for now. A few bans are on its way after talking with other mods.
Thread is back open. Next personal attack will be part of the ban. If you want to have last words just use PM. Like I said, no matter who next guy who attacks another poster will be banned.
I expect 11 wins. Great offseason so far to be followed up by a kick ass draft. Gronk retired. It's all good.
Good news DefenseWinsChampionships is posting with Kelly~~~~~ On another forum now. For those not in the know Kelly~~ was doxxed as as a male as a result of his posting here in the guise of a seductive female. Great work DWC.
Seriously....? Kelly is back? DWC actually went to another site because he got called on his shit here is no surprise. Sometimes we don't have to ban a poster. They just move on without any help which is preferable. On a sidebar, every offseason things go sideways around here. Perhaps some of you should just take a break until Draft Day or a few days before. Not much happening usually ends with folks attacking each other. Before we start benching folks, I'm asking you all to take a deep breath and perhaps even take some time off from the site.
If I have the time to post a lot, what's that to you? I say the same thing to different posters to discuss the situation. Not everyone responds to just a general post, but most will respond when you reply to one of their posts. As far as being uninformed or having no idea what I'm talking about, that's your opinion, and for whatever it's worth, you are in the minority. I research my posts and opinions, and I'm right far more than I'm wrong. Where are all your great, informative posts? I don't recall ever seeing one single informative post or anything of merit on this site. Have I ragged on you for that? No. As far as leaving the board, that was over 2 months ago because I had reached a point where I was discouraged and had lost hope in this franchise. Things change. With some time away, I gained some perspective, and I liked a number of changes the Jets made, and that restored some hope. But if you think that makes me look like a total clown show. That's your right to have that opinion. You obviously don't like me and never have, and that's ok. I don't lose any sleep over it. I don't expect that everyone in the world is gonna like me, and I can live with that. If you hate me and my posts so much, do yourself a favor and put me on ignore and then you never have to see my posts again. It's that simple, and you'll be happier. I wish you no ill will.
No I didn't. I said their logic was flawed, their reasoning was bad, their opinion was dumb or utter nonsense. There's a difference. We can all have flawed or dumb opinions at times. I admit that I went overboard at times, and am sorry I did. I have changed. I even have defended you when you were attacked by other posters and we used to have cordial, respectful discussions, but I guess that doesn't count or matter. I advise you to use the "ignore" button as well. You'll be a lot happier.
Actually, what you did to me my friend was cut me off with the classic line "I am done with you" because I didn't agree with you on some subject and that came right out of the blue on your part, after that you have quoted me around 3 times including this one, so I suspect the cordial posts ended somewhere on your side a long while back.
I think it's more about attempting to maintain the most gossamer thread to reality. Dreaming, wishing, hoping, praying for ten wins is fine; actually expecting it is insanity. I believe if it's called for at all your characterization of losers is pointed in the wrong direction.
Was it insane for your parents to expect you to graduate college or grad school or become a manager ? When the schedule comes out ...I promised Penny I would back up my assertion for 10 wins..and I will Losers don't demand anything from themselves Having high expectations is a good thing...pretty much how I've rolled with my life Joe Namath put a hugh bet on himself before the SB .how did that work out? Privately I hope our Owners have had this conversation with Gase and Mac ...Christopher J has already publicly said that he wants to see improvement in the NYJs I don't know how you feel about 120 million Rale, but to me that's a ton of money invested in Free Agents..so I suppose I shouldn't "expect " something in return ????? Just dream and hope they do their job???? SMH 8xs Last year you traded second and third rounders to get blue chip Sam...so far the kid shows a lot of promise, add that to the mix Macagnan expects a raise ....not a Pink Slip
This year has 8-8 or 9-7 written all over it. I feel the offense is still too weak to truly compete against the big boys of the league, i.e. Chiefs, Rams, Pats etc. I also do not have much faith in Gase ( I do like the Williams signing) and feel our game planning will be lacking. There are also some glaring holes in a secondary and still no pass rusher. The draft may fix the glaring holes on defense i.e. outside pass rusher, cb#2 but still leaves the offense weak at center and wr#1. Should be an entertaining year but I am not expecting a playoff berth from this assembled crew. All we can hope for is Darnold starts showing he is capable of carrying a team with holes and doesn't depend on the elite play from his offensive weapons. If he does, 2020 is the year I can see the Jets really starting to compete for the division and becoming a serious contender for the Superbowl.
Over the last 5 years either 10 or 11 NFL teams won at least 10 games. That's just over a third of NFL teams. We are currently 3 seasons removed from 10 wins. The NFL is a mediocre pile of crap. The difference between 6 and 10 win teams is literally 4 to 10 well executed plays vs 4 to 10 plays where you crapped your pants. The Jets have upgraded their roster, brought in both a quality offensive minded head coach to work with Sam and a very high quality defensive coach. We have upgraded both sides in FA and have a top draft choice to add into the mix. I expect not hope that we will execute 4 to 10 plays when it counts next year. I expect that will lead to 10 wins for an NFL team in a mediocre division where the champ lost a HOF player, they're best interior lineman and defensive lineman and their QB has switched from injecting steroids to embalming fluid. Reality, you want reality? You can't handle reality.
