Not only is Lynn doing ok but these imbeciles we have for owners had him in the building and on staff and they did not see his qualities-----we need devine intervention for the Johnson to get this right
Yes, pure speculation (hence the word "may" used rather than "will") but based on the idea that we have heard nothing from Harbaugh himself regarding his extension and further contract negotiations as announced by the team. Also speculation that the Chargers knock the Ravens out of the playoffs.
Per Ian Rappaport: "The jets have requested Bucs OC Todd Monken. One of the top offenses in NFL and head coaching background. Makes sense, especially with the focus on RPOs"
Thanks for the English lesson, but my question's intent was to clarify whether that was simply "your" speculation, or coming from any other actual source. I agree anything is still possible in Baltimore, but with how this season has unfolded, it's becoming a long shot that he leaves. On a side note, I can't believe Balt are facing SD. I wanted the Pats to have to play one of them, but there's a good chance they won't have to play either.
I was reading some seahawks related articles and the like regarding the departure of Kris Richards and I didn't see too many people commenting losing sleep when he got released as their DC in 2017 - one interesting take "While I can appreciate what Kris Richard tried to do, it is very obvious that he was riding the coattails of Gus Bradley the first year. Once he had to develop schemes with new players or think on his feet, during real time game situations, he seemed to not be able to adapt. It was a tough act to follow but one Seahawk fans expected." Also worth noting the defense ranked worse each year he was there - 2nd -> 5th -> 11th which is not a great record Sounds like someone I would be happy to see come in and sort out our terrible secondary but doesn't sound like the HC of my dreams
The time for a real offensive coaching staff who can get the best out of Sam is now. Get it done Johnsons.
Why is this uninspiring? It's better than any of the reported requests so far. Head coaching experience, offensive guy, top 5 offense last year, took an 0-12 team and had them in a bowl within 3 years. This is the type of guy they should be looking at if they aren't getting a Harbaugh type.
The longer Harbaugh stays mum on remaining, the better the chances are that he will leave. His accepting a one year extension (not sure it's signed) does virtually nothing to keep him there. I am not the first to have taken note. ESPN has mentioned it a couple of times this morning.
before he went to the Bucs he was the HC of Ole Miss - when he took over they had just gone 0-12, in his first year they just went 1-11, but then 3-9 then 9-5 and first place in their division - so you at least see someone trending in the right direction.
Let's hold out hope. Also let's hope the Colts win, so that the Chargers would head to Foxboro instead of Arrowhead.
Monken, very aggressive OC, put up BIG time yardage ... 4 receivers with 774 or more receiving yards (Evans had 1500 yards). Not sure about HC, but absolutely would take as an OC ... not sure if Monken is HC material, but worth a shot to interview
