Ok, well i frequently visit the site, however i rarely post. I wanted to post my idea for a good offseason, trying to be realistic. Assuming we dont trade down out of the #4 spot (which i would love). I have heard the Abe to Detriot rumors, however trying to be realistic i have him going to Denver for the #29. With that said I would like to start with FA. I would like to sign a fatass DT in free agency. perferably the DT Kemoeatu from Baltimore, if not him than a veteran Ted Washington type. Next, I would like to sign either Kitna to push penny for the starting job, or the LT Schaffer from the Falcons. I don't think we can get both, but I would like one of them and then our #4 pick would be determined on which one we signed. Now the Draft: #4 - Cutler (If we get Schaffer) or D'Brick (If we got Kitna) #29 - Mangold (maybe a reach here, however hecan play both OG/C) #36 - Manny Lawson (unreal speed, could fit will as rushing LB in the 3/4) I havent mapped out the rest of the draft, however, i would like to take BPA at posistions of need such as O-line, WR, CB QB - Penny / Cuter / Brooks or Penny / Kitna / Brooks RB - Martin / Blaylock / Houston FB - Askew TE - Baker / Jolly / Dressean WR - Coles / McCareins / Cotchery / Draft Pick LT - Schaffer or D'Brick LG - Kendall / Mangold C - Mangold / Kendall RG - Moore RT - Jones DE - Ellis DT - Kemoeatu (or other FA pickup) / Pouha DE - Robertson OLB - Lawson MLB - Vilma MLB - Hobson OLB - Barton CB - Miller / Barret / Strait / Draft Pick S - Coleman S - Rhodes Hope i dont get ripped too much for this, any input and or suggestions would be appreciated.
I"m gonna have to go look it up, and you are not the only person to suggest him, but I'm almost certain that the Ravens resigned Kemoeatu. I'll be back if I figure it out.
I was wrong, must have read that the Ravens "wanted" to resign him... Ravens | Kemoeatu will test free agency Thu, 2 Mar 2006 20:37:01 -0800 Jamison Hensley, of the Baltimore Sun, reports Baltimore Ravens DL Ma'ake Kemoeatu will test the free agent market starting March 6. The Ravens have made it a priority to re-sign him and have talked at length with his agent, Ken Vierra.
Im pretty sure he is a TE, at least i know he was drafted as one in the 6th round last year out of CSU. Unless i am unaware of a move to WR this offseason, im pretty sure he is still a TE
I'd like to upgrade the RB spot as I don't like Blaylock at all and Houston doesn't seem to be the long term answer IMO...
is it possible to get d'brick, mangold, lawson and vernon davis in this draft Knowing we have the 9th overall
i would also like to think we have the #9 pick, however, i just simply cant see the lions pulling the trigger on that, and i am aware how dumb millan is .. i think denver is a more likely destination.. or even atlanta for that matter
Hey baamf, why don't you like Blaylock? Personally, I think he can be productive. He could have been a starter in KC if not for Holmes and Johnson. I'm not attacking you, I just wonder why you feel that way since he really didn't play much last year.
There's no chance Manny Lawson falls that far. He's being hyped as much as Ware was and Ware went eleventh. Hate the Cutler pick as many of you already know. Jones really isn't a right tackle, unless he puts on a lot of muscle.
While i agree that Lawson is getting an extreme amount of hype, i dont think he will get #11 like Ware, but I may be wrong, and about Cutler, i dont really like the pick either, I just put it up there because with Chad's new deal looking more and more like a one and done thing, and whether you like it or not, I really can see us taking a QB at 4 to sit and learn for a year.
