They were also 4 and 12 last year. 31st in O and 30th in D. What's impressive about Reich is the Colt's D and O have improved dramatically. It's not one side of the ball. Even if you want to give all the credit to Luck for the O going from 31 to 8 you can't discount the D going from 30 to 11. 4 and 12 to playoff contention. Huge improvement on both sides of the ball. FYI in the game they were shut out in they were in the game until the end. The followed up that shutout by defeating the Texans in Houston in an absolute must game for both teams. Reich has been terrific this year and It's pretty clear that both MN with Flip and Philadelphia without Reich have both gone down hill on O.
You still have to give Petersen some credit for the Eagles success last year. No doubt that DeFilippo has definitely been exposed this year and I'll be interested to see if the Vikings sever ties with him after only one season. A playoff berth may decide his fate.
Absolutely and Petersen is in many respects a victim of his success. He lost a good portion of his staff because of his success. Now that he lost both Flip and Reich its apparent that Reich was ready to take the next step. Flip probably isn't.
No more rookie HC no matter how impressive their resume imo Its Jim H or bust with brother John the consolation prize Make it happen Woodbrain
Wooooo boy was a I wrong as shit hoping for DeFillipo. Everything went south on him. Kingsbury is at USC now. HC: John Harbaugh OC: Tony Romo DC: Joe Cullen
Guess we should take him name off the list LOL. Anyone that watched his offense over the last 8 weeks could see his scheme sucks.
This probably clinches it that DeFillippo will be the next Jets HC. Would be the kind of thing the Jets would do.
Not related to our coaching search but on the subject of Reich; he's really good. On the X & O's side of the ball as well as establishing a culture I can't believe we interviewed Reich in 2015 lol. He was highly regarded but the knock was he only had one year of coordinator experience
Vikings looked BAD yesterday. I know the Seahawks have been surging, but there is no way that was all the Seahawks D. Down by 6, near the endzone, kick the damn FG and cut it to 3. Please do not let that guy anywhere near the Jets.
As I suspected, he was being facetious or using a bit of self-deprecating humor. He voted for DeFilippo.
He may not have been this good 3 years ago. With additional experience, he probably learned, refined his ideas, and is more confident.
