Are you suggesting that there's some kind of pattern or method the Jets might follow? Unfortunately, it'll have to be a lot more blatant and obvious before the Johnson Boys can guess the clue.
But how many of these blue chippers will want to sign onto a project, especially with the Jets track record and a change in HC and possibly GM (hopefully)? The Jets have been consistently spurned despite offering even the most money, so I wouldn't count on having any of these guys yet.
true but i have to change "The QB is in place" to... "A QB is in place". As much as we all want to believe the hype, he has to prove it first and until he starts playing up to snuff, its still an open question. i have almost ZERO confidence the current jets hierarchy is fit enough to maximize darnolds base talent. i do think he will the THE QB but i am not sure if he turns into an alex smith/kirk cousins or a brees.
Jets are already following the pattern. Whether or not they have the same kind of “success” will depend on getting the HC hire right. We’ll see.
I don't know about defense alone, but I agree a better coach could have gotten us 2-3 more wins. But if you gave Bowles more talent he could have also won 2-3 more games.
I am imagining the scene in Green Mile when Percy walks John Coffey into the prison for the first time, instead of Michael Clarke Duncan, it will be Bowles.... “Dead coach. Dead coach walking! We got a dead coach walking here!” Now can we just send this entire Bowles era to the chair and be done with it?
That's precisly why I'm hoping we nab Harbaugh if he & the Ravens part ways... we need a top HC to lure some top FA's.
