Not exactly a shocker. I wonder who replaces him. http://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/25118191/browns-fire-coach-hue-jackson-two-plus-seasons
LOL! I can't believe they fired him now after allowing him to retain his job after going 1-31 .. Think on that one! LMAO
It's perplexing that this guy kept his job after going 1-31 in two seasons. Now Vance Joseph and Toilet are competing to be the worst HC in the league.
Who did they name as interim HC? I doubt they get anyone from the outside right now. They probably canned him now after all of their abysmal losing because of Mayfield. That's the only sense I can make of it, but I'm surprised they didn't just let him ride out the year. Still irks me the Browns beat the Jets. Ugh; but so so Jets for that to happen.
Heard Mayfield on Sirius radio today and the dude wanted better play calling/leadership Kid must feel so relieved right now So will Sam when the dust clears here and Toilet flushed They have Dorsey..and we unfortunately dont have a good GM Time for Chris and Woody to get a GOOD HC now before Cleveland does!
The Browns are some of the stupidest idiots I've ever seen. They are rebuilding from the ground up and have done some positive things. LOL at this knee jerk reaction.
Knee jerk reaction to firing a HC who is 3-36-1 in 2 and 1/2 seasons? The only knee jerk reaction is firing Haley but maybe Haley was butting heads with Baker/Upper management. We will never know, but it wouldn't surprise me with Haley's well-known attitude problem.
https://www.cbssports.com/nfl/news/browns-fire-hue-jackson-after-just-three-wins-in-40-games/ Cleveland.com's Mary Kay Cabot reports that ownership told Jackson that the team had quit on him, he was no longer an effective leader and that the team had regressed on both sides of the ball. Rapoport has a different account, reporting that owner Jimmy Haslam was partial to keeping Jackson while general manager John Dorsey, who was hired in the offseason, was ready to move on, perhaps in part because there were concerns that rookie quarterback and first-overall pick Baker Mayfield could find himself in the middle of a Jackson-Haley power struggle.
Interesting factoid: Jackson is the sixth consecutive Browns coach to be fired immediately after losing the second Steelers game of the season.
I really don’t care what they say. They should have cleaned it all out right after the season. Give the new coach a chance to pick his qb. This may be the right call but it looks stupid as hell. And on top of that you end up with Greg Williams as your interim hc. Any move that leads to that probably wasn’t right.
idk. Hue Jackson severely outcoached Todd Bowles just a few weeks ago. It was official before Jackson got fired
JETS have competition for the next up and coming Sean McVay. Who do you think it'll be and given the choice which team has the more desirable situation to come in and win now. I think the Browns (but I personally think they're cursed).
