Jets play against the Patriots in the first round of the playoffs. It could happen, that would be awesome.

I'd love another shot at the Patriots. Our DEF will slap Brady around like a rag doll.

Anyone have word on the severity of Lawrence Maroney and Mike Vrabel's injuries?

I knew about Vrabel but not Maroney. Either one would be a huge loss for them right now.

Obviously playoff talk is premature at this point but even with the Patriots struggles I don't think I'd want to face them in the playoffs. Bellichick is not the kind of coach you want to be facing for the 3rd team on the season in the playoffs, especially when the Jets offense is as limited and one dimensional as it is.

Ole' sour puss Bill would really be feeling the pressure in that one. Student slaps the professor, one more time, sounds good to me.

I would much rather play the Patriots than go to Baltimore.

    The Ravens fans are crazy.

And oh yeah, the Ravens are a pretty good team.

If we can combine the Jets making the playoffs ahead of Hermie, and the Protege beating the Mentor yet again in the playoffs, i dont care if we dont win the SB, this year was a huge success!!!

I can't believe some of you guys are so negative. I can guarantee that the Jets are the team Bellicheck and the Patriots would least like to face in the playoffs. I think it is one of the best matchups the Jets could ask for, given the way the Jets played against them both times. The Jets would go into it with a massive psychological advantage after having beaten them up on their own turf already this season.

    here's an even better scenario:

pats lose against miami this sunday and lose to jacksonville. they beat houston and tennessee.

    jets win out.

jets win the division based on a better division record (5-1) than the pats (4-2). pats get the 5th seed.

pats AT jets. i'd like to see that one.

Maroney's loss killed me yesterday. My opponent in a "win and your in" regular season game had Dillon.
