If the season were to stop today, it'd be as good as 38th overall. Any thoughts on that? (What an nifty pickup, I'd say.)
Washington wanted to move up in the second round. We traded our #4, second round pick for their lower second round pick and got their 07 second round pick in addition.
I am posting this since I've heard some stuff from a skins fan at that time; he was basically telling me "You guys will be picking up 64th pick in essence - what an idiot of FO you've got!"
Roger McIntosh, LB. We then sent the 2 2006 picks they gave us (53 and 189) to Dallas with our 211 for 49 (Clemens).
We are far from the most talented team in the league. But what we do have is above average talent in key spots on both sides of the ball and a CS that knows how to get the most out of the roster. I expect us to go Best player available throughout the draft...and w/ 3 selections in the 1st 60 picks of the draft...we'll stand to drastically upgrade the overall talent level and depth of this team.
I wouldn't be surprised, if it ends up being a high # 2 this year, that we trade it for a 2008 #1 pick. That's somewhat of the Pats' way of playing cards when it comes to pick swapping.
That's an interesting scenario, however, with all of our troubles on defense and current RB situation, I wouldn't hesitate to use it.
Redskins remaining schedule: vs PHI, @ NO, @ STL, vs NYG. Hopefully they only win one of those games to finish up at 5-11, and give us a top 40 pick.
