One of the problems without this “competition“ at positions is that players who need wraps might miss out on them. Hansen is one of those guys. I’m not saying he’s absolved of all blame but he’s shown enough between the end of last year and early summer this year to know that there’s something there. It ain’t workin out though.

    Pryor
    Enunwa
    Kearse
    Robby
    Hanson
    McBride

I would honestly rather cut bait with Stewart completely but I just can’t see that happening. I think when he comes back, McBride goes.

Also whoever said Pryor is garbage should be demoted to the practice squad of posting.

My 7 would be Q, Kearse, Robby, Johnson, Lucky, Tre, and Pryor.

Teddy seems to click with Johnson.

And if we ever again throw a short out to Robbie and expect him to break tackles for the first down I’ll throw my shoe through the TV screen.

Forget WR...I'm still trying to figure out who the TE's will be. Did anyone of the incumbents catch a ball in last nights game? Looks to me that they were too busy staying put on the OL to protect the QB's.

Teddy clicks with Johnson because they played in Minny together. no reason to waste a roster spot on a slow oversized wr for a qb that will be on another team in a month

He's been ok... against 2nd and 3rd stringers. He was also the WR who was completely blanketed on Teddy's interception last night. He's a good camp body but I don't really see him having much long term potential.

One of the reasons Teddy finds him is he has played with him before, two years in Minny. I'm guessing that is why he was brought into camp.

8 Wideouts just seems like a lot to me. It would be different if they showed a ton of potential, but outside of the top 4 we have a bunch of guys that are borderline NFL players who if they are not bringing good special teams play they are easily replaceable parts.

Really disappointed in Chad Hansen and ArDarius Stewart ... especially Hansen who I thought would breakout this year... Right now I got ...

    1 - Q
    2 - Robbie
    3 - Kearse
4 - Pryor (big shock to me; but hasn't been playing in games)
    5 - Hansen
    6 - Lucky
    7 - McBride or Stewart

Stewart deserves to be cut, he doesn't catch the football well at all.

McBride actually showed up. hanson and stewart, where are they. being good in practice is nice but if you don't play under the lights then go away

I don't think I would cut Hansen for Charles Johnson. Stewart, I think he's on the roster bubble for sure.

After Anderson, Enuwa, and Kearse the field is open. You guys can keep sleeping on Peake but getting the only TD this week with a circus catch is not a bad way to claim one of the remaining spots.

Well, I need one of them to be McBride, because then it's not corny if I wear a jersey with my last name.

Other than that Hansen, Peake, and probably Johnson.

7WR with one (or more) as returners is fairly common around the league.

Wasn't Peake out injured until this week? He still has time to earn a spot if he continues to show up in games.

Stewart is just terrible at running routes. If he wasn't a 3rd round pick he wouldn't even sniff the roster.

Can he (Stewart) be that stupid or lazy that in two TCs he can't learn to run routes properly? The Jets have a good WR coach, so I know it isn't his fault. He has developed other WRs can gotten them playing better than they otherwise would have.

Have a feeling the final WR spots are going to be filled with other teams’ castaways.

Tre McBride has earned a spot so far. I thought it was interesting to see him with the 1's (and play well) while Stewart and Hansen were on the bench.

Speaking of WR's, since Mac took over in 2015: his 4 WR picks (Smith, Peake, Stewart, Hansen) have not worked out. Imagine drafting OL with those picks instead!

Looking at the 2015 draft, the problem is that the OL who went after Smith are a mixed lot. Of course, if we got anything out of any of them, that would be better than what we have gotten from Smith. LOL Mitch Morse (OG) went 12 picks later and at least he's a starter, but I have no idea if he's really any good. Jake Fisher (OT) went 16 picks later, and he's not very good, but he will be the Bengals' starter at RT this season. Rob Havenstein (OT) went 20 picks later. He's been a starter, but don't know if he's any good. Ty Sambrailo (OT) went 22 picks later, and I don't think he's very good. He only lasted 2 seasons with the Broncos and is now with Atlanta, and isn't a starter. Ali Marpet (OG) went 24 picks later. He's pretty good and is a starter. If Mac had taken Morse, Havenstein or Marpet, we'd have been much better off, but not with Sambrailo or Fisher.

Looking at the 2017 draft, the only OL who was taken after Stewart in the 3rd round was Antonio Garcia, and doesn't appear as if that would have been any better. I think Mac traded down a time or two in the 4th round (but don't remember), but we may have traded away our 4th, and maybe it was some other team's 4th round pick. If he did trade down, OL he could have taken instead of Hansen were Dorian Johnson (OG), Nico Siragusa (OG), David Sharpe (OT), Julie'n Davenport (OT), Sean Harlow (OG), and Zach Banner (OT). Johnson is a backup with the Panthers. Siragusa is a backup with the Ravens. Sharpe is a backup with the Raiders. Davenport is a backup for the Texans. Harlow is a backup for the Falcons. Banner is a backup for the Steelers. Thus, I don't know if any of them would have been any better than our OL depth or better than Hansen.

Peake was a 6th round pick, so I doubt that any OL at that point would have been any better.
