It may be the 6th easiest schedule but it is not easy. Patriots, Patriots, Lions, Green Bay, Texans, Jaguars, Broncos, Vikings, Titans. I consider these 9 teams tough.
I don't think I've ever been this excited over the state of our Franchise. Getting Bill Parcells back in 1997 after coming off a 1-15 season was awesome, because during my childhood days the big Tuna & #28 did give me hope. 1998 was fun. 2009 and 2010 were two of the most exciting runs I've ever seen dating back to 1998. But they creeped up out of no where. Never expected back to back AFC Championship games. Was an exciting run. But this. This just feels different. We just drafted Sam Darnold 3rd overall. We're featuring an extremely young roster. And we're sitting on more cap space than any other Franchise. If this can't excite you, nothing short of a SB can.
I am also excited but I do care about wins and losses. I think we can compete for a wild card at least into December. Obviously Sam excites me for the future and for all I know it could be this year but it’s nit just about him. I like our dee and our weapons and I think Bates will be awesome. I am hoping teddy or Sam is our qb and we win 10 this year. Why wait till next year. Fuck that’s its the nfl anything can happen
Its the Jets. We have seen this movie before. They will go 9-7 and either just miss the playoffs or back into a wildcard loss. Praise be Bowles and McCagnan! In 2019 they will receive a ton of preseason hype, and proceed to go 6-10. Bowes and McCagnan are fired.
Joe...with all due respect, lots & lots of forum members wanted Sam Darnold. Remember the "Suck for Sam" cries? They became muted at seasons end...and not because people didn't like his play. No one thought we'd get him at the 5th position, not many thought he'd still be there at 3. Darnold hasn't even taken a pre-season snap...let alone played in a game that counts. The sensible jury is still out. But gawdamn I hope he pans out!
