Well I still wouldn't mind a high draft pick so we can continue to rebuild, 3-13 should get us the number 1-3 pick
My expectations remain the same, team coming up still looking to answer the qb question. My win loss predictions never change from pre draft to post draft, I don’t rely on the draft for immediate improvement,if nothing else I may lower my win total if we end up starting darnold all year. Not a knock on him but this team isn’t set up to carry a rookie qb .
I have no idea, I am a jets fan and don't really watch any other team at all, I see the td's on highlights but not team strategies, the life of a uk fan. So if you want to explain what did or really what didn't work for the Jags knock yourself out, i'm all ears
I see 8 to 10 wins barring no major injuries. This is with either Teddy or Darnold under center. I’m looking at Darron Lee, Adams, and Leonard having potential breakout seasons. Q and Robbie on O making plays down the field. I do think the line will prove to be average in pass protection, letting the q.b have a decent season.
Just meant they drafted high many years in a row and put together a strong team with a great defense that ended up being a drive away from the Super Bowl last year. If the Jets can do something similar, it would be great.
This is the opposite for me. I have been waiting my whole life for the Jets to get serious about the QB position. I still think the team is in the air, but I also yearn to see this young guy go nuts behind center. He's got the skills at QB that make highlight reels, he's exciting. I have never had that, not with Sanchez, not with Pennington, not with O'Brien. They were capable options. Darnold is an alpha. These days can be really good for us. The whole football world changed for me on draft day.
Ah, it could have went either way, maybe I am to sarcastic in nature lol but I guess you would have used the Browns for a shit example Didn't realise the Jags had put together a team by drafting high a few times, they really need to get themselves a top QB though.
Don’t get me wrong, I am excited for the future. Just 2018 I expect will look a lot like 2017 where we see games we might have won with a better qb. Only this year we will have better potential at the qb position. I really like this team in 2019
Well none of the mods have contacted yet about me giving my opinion of Bowles so U better alert the mods &adm
Happy Mother's Day, Champ! Haha yeah, true. A lot of sarcasm on the board! I was serious, Jacksonville has build a pretty good team. It took like 5-7 years and you are right: they still need a QB. Hopefully the Jets finally have one in Darnold.
Ditto on all of it...best line was "blockers getting to the 2nd level and annihilating little runts like Darron Lee" ahahahahah..maybe he gets some help from his buddy Scrappy Heap Skrine Also liked your observation that Mac is merely replacing most players lost in FA..except for a CB.. Yep the learning curve still needed for our Rookie GM The day Johnson gave his "no mandate for winning" was a signal for Bowles and Mac to continue to be the Country Club managers on Jet drive ..Bowles is WORSE: .doesn't care if Wilk late for meetings, no game/in game preparation, doesn't play his best players if they are rookies etc As I posted before the Maras and Rooneys or Even Jerry Jones would NEVER send such a loser message to an organization HC/GM...I mean how lame is that
It’s been so long since young players really stepped up & became true difference makers for this team i cant even envision it..but it better damn well happen or it will be the end of this regime. “The process” of taking their dearly sweet ass time to flood every position w BPA over a course of a handful of drafts isnt all that cryptic or groundbreaking. While it can work some of these BPAs need to actually step up & make plays.Hasnt happened yet. This is the year for it. Building through the draft means drafting playmakers.
