Geno Smith, Ryan Fitzpatrick, Bryce Petty. Ryan Fitzpatrick, Bryce Petty, Christian Hackenberg. Christian Hackenberg, Bryce Petty, Josh McCown, That is the list of QB's expected to start in the order they were looked at each season. Tell me you could have done a better job of picking the starting QB than Todd Bowles did if the expectation was to win some games.
Playing Hack would have gotten him and Mac fired. It's notable that in a leaky media environment there were no rumors or unnamed sources suggesting that "some" in the organization would like to see Christian Hackenberg play last year. Think about it.
the expectation wasn't to win some games. they were tanking last year. And Bowles is a major reason why Fitzpatrick was here in the first place. He hired Gailey and they brought in Fitz because of the familiarity with Gailey
you guys weren't saying anything when Marshall, Decker and Enunwa fielded the best passing attack in Jets history
I expect 6-8 wins and continued progression of the young players on the roster. I believe 2019 is when it's playoffs or bust for this regime.
And teams that are 6-8 usually go to 8-8. then regress to 6-10. Enjoy the ride. 9-7 is only 4 years away.
If you think Long is a minor upgrade over Johnson , you might want to get tested for CTE. As a former QB who played at a high level of competition, you really should be able to scout a center.....
In Madden apparently. I didn't know much about Long before the signing, but I'm not with some of the negatives being thrown around about him. This looks like a good signing. Crowell minor upgrade
He's a good center. Had a solid start last season and then got hurt, was dealing with tendinitis in his knee the rest of the season. Was ranked 9th in 16 , 20th last season with the injury. He's a good fit for the Dennison's blocking scheme. Let's hope the knee is healthy going forward.
Are the Jets still going to be awful next year? Does a bear shit in the woods? Is the Pope Catholic? Have I run out of stupid questions where the answer is 'yes'? 'nuff said.
Awful is a stretch, but dependent on which QB is drafted + if he sees playing time, games will actually be tolerable to watch.
Win 10 games with Ryan Fitzpatrick as his QB? Win 20 games with Fitzpatrick x2 and Josh McCown? McCown was 2-20 in his previous 22 starts before coming to the powerhouse Jets, where he went 5-7 before he got hurt. When are we going to give Bowles an actually good QB to work with?
I don't envision the Jets being terrible nor do I see them being a great deal better. My guess is 6-8 wins with the hopes that our rookie QB plays the last 2 games of the season. Hoping that the defense is a notch improved. Need to see Leo and Jamal make more plays.
If the qb they draft comes in and plays very good off the bat, nothing and I mean nothing would surprise me. Has anyone taken a good look at the AFC last year? Nothing would surprise me.
