Yea I don't get why the waterboy "aka Kacy Rodgers" still is employed. Yet Morton who did well his rookie year is out. Not sure what the Jets plan is but maybe an OC who works well with young QBs? Maybe a first round pick. Hmmm here is to hoping.
I expect to Morton to be scapegoated for Hacks inability to get on the field... He'll go on to be a genius OC somewhere else and Hack will be out of the league shortly. Maybe Todd realized that an OC who uses the WCO is not what he wanted when he saw how difficult it was for the young QBs to grasp it. Why he wouldn't know this ahead of time being a defensive guy for so long, is perplexing. It's a good concept on paper but to actually learn it, its difficult and the QBs the jets have don't fit the WCO, or maybe the QB they plan on drafting is not a WCO QB. (Falk)... Another thought is maybe Morton wanted out and did not want to embarrass the jets by resigning so he asked to be fired so it can appear that he did something wrong and can be the scapegoat. Didn't want to present the image that Todd was a joke to coach for and wanted out of the dumpster fire. Just a thought.

Todd Bowles must be trying to low play any OC who wants to do more than hand the ball off or go for it on fourth down , be risky etc...each week it was more of those stupid calls where whatever was clicking in the passing game we suddenly handed the ball off..he ruined Morton for the most part imo

Ugh this narrative is so infuriating. No coordinator can arbitrarily elect to give up on a game. They call the plays but the higher level approach on whether to be aggressive, slow it down or give up completely is a command that comes down from on top. Maybe he shouldn't have been so honest and kept it in house but Jets fans are crazy if they think it was his call.
Why would Defilippo want to come to the Jets? Tony Sparano is available we can get him from the Vikings lmao.
No of course it didn’t come from him but he certainly shouldn’t have been so honest. I would imagine that plays a big part in all of this. Shame too because I thought he did a pretty good job here and would’ve liked to see what he could do with some talent on the O. Hopefully but not optimistic Bowles will make the right choice.
If we can land Defilippo I will understand why we canned Morton. If not, I will be pretty disappointed with this.
that was so overblown. we lost the game. it was over. he called run plays to lower the risk of injury in garbage time. so what. it would be like firing the head coach for pulling out his start QB when you are down 40 points with 5 mins left. it's the right thing to do
