Interesting matchup Sunday,,,,Mario Williams VS D'Brickashaw but I think for more than one reason. Mario is listed at 6-6 and 291 lbs.....and D'brick is listed at 6-6 and 312. The last time I saw Mario playing against the Giants he looked like a beast. Looks like Alot more bulk than D'brick at the same height. I am thinking that if Mario is 291, D"Brick is playing LEFT TACKLE at no more than 270 pounds today....Now I might be wrong (I hope so) - perhaps my perception on TV is wrong, but I think it will be interesting to see how they "measure up"....

Please, please don't tell me that D'Brick weighs less than the Giants back-up QB...

Keep in mind that most of Mario Williams snaps have came at LE not RE...so while he will line up across from Brick at times, a lot of the times he will be lining up across from the slug Anthony Clement.

yeah, he was a beast against a 300 yr old crappy ass backup tackle in Bob Whitfield, who was playing out of position, but plays equally crappy at his natural position. Come on, Mario went up against a nobody.

I meant a beast the way he looked...physically...not the way he played.

didn't Brick own Williams during the senor bowl??

Plus Mario has a bit of a foot issue that will limit his explosiveness

I've been pretty happy with Clement so far this season. He's definitely exceeded expectations. Actually the entire line looked excellent for most of the game against Chicago.

No, Mario Williams did not participate in the Senior Bowl. The high profile DE that D'Brick owned at the Senior Bowl that your thinking of is Kiwanuka from the New York Giants.

that's the guy i was thinking of -- I knew he owned a high profile DE that week which helped his draft status

Looking at how Mangold is playing this year I am shocked he lasted as long as he did

Brick at 270? Not possible. Remember Muscle weighs more than fat, that kid is a solid 300. Just cause he does not have DUNLAP syndrome does not mean he is below 300lbs. You'd have to show me something proving that D'Brick is less than 295. Not possible!

I actually see this as a disadvantage to Brick. He's done fairly well against the speed rushers so far, but this will be a bull rusher. And if he's lost weight up to this point in the season this could be trouble. I'd like to see us roll away from him. See if we can get him tired a bit and give Brick the advantage in the 2nd half.

Petigout did get injured in the Chicago game, but Kareem McKenzie was injured during the Texans game, so Whitfield took over at RT. Not for nothing, Petigout isnt bad, hes a solid player, he just draws too many penaltys. Hes just not worth big money. Whitfield makes Petigout look like Jonathan Ogden.

Well put. I've never liked Petitgout because of all the penalties and all the money that he just isn't worth, but now that Whitfield has to start, I take it all back. I miss Luke. Whitfield is a joke.

I'm very happy with D'Brick, especially since in '04 Robert Gallery got chosen #2 overall and was considered a better prospect than D'Brick...and he's looking like the 2nd biggest OL bust of all-time for the Raiders !!!
