An everyone on this board has been perfect in their predictions and opinions, like those who said Vilma was not worth the 12th pick and those who wanted the Jets to mortgage the future for Reggie Bush and those who said Mangini couldn't coach and those who said Culpepper was going to lead Miami to the SB and those who said the Jets receivers stunk to those who said Shawn Ellis would have double digit sacks to those who criticized the Ferguson and Mangold draft picks and so on and so on.

I happen to think this column is right on. Pennington carried this team early in the season and, when on, is a very good QB. It is also crazy the way people jump off the bandwagon the minute he has a bad game and the way people blame every loss in pro football on the QB. He correctly states that Pennington has to step it up this week against a weak opponent and the same goes for the rest of the year.

The difference is that no one(that we know of) on this board is paid to cover and write articles about the Jets. And from my point of view the Bollinger/Tice stuff is a few magnitudes more ridiculous then any of the "fan opinions" you brought up.

Typical Dan - as opposed to being a writer or commentator, he's a fan dressed up in Jet Green. I love the guy, but since I've known him - going back 25 years now, he always seems to find an angle to cover for or make excuses for the Jets and their players - especially the ones he likes personally.

This is the kind of stuff you write for the PR Department - oh yeah, Dan worked for the Jet PR Department during his career.

No, nobody is allowed to change there opinion here. If they do, there either having a "knee jerk" reaction, they are crazy, or they just don't know what there talking about.

When you're wife is wide open for the score, you shouldn't be trying to figure out where the checkdown option is.

Hey...I was a proud subscriber of Jets Confidential for ten years. My kids started getting too numerous for me to be able to go on (I'm as good as Chad Pennington in that department), but that was one writer I was glad to subsidize.

It's one thing to change your mind, but this is like Fidel Castro joining the Republican party...

I'm sorry Mr. Leberfeld but I cannot credit the Bears defense for Chad's play last Sunday.

The INT at the 5 was a total misread by Chad, I don't know how he didn't see Urlacher, and their was pretty good coverage on Baker.

His 2nd INT was inexcusable, yes Alex Brown put pressure, but for a guy with great decision making, he made a horrible one. I'm not going to credit their defense, Chad tried to force a bad throw off his backfoot, and luckily Baker tackled Vasher so a TD couldn't be scored. That's a situation where you just need to take the sack.

He missed open receivers, again, not on the defense, that's on the QB. Throwing it high and out-of-bounds, etc.

Yes Chicago has a very good defense, but Chad was the culprit, not the Bears defense.
