not if we finish out the year good and have that buzz going into next year..the pats promo train has slowed down a bit.. they arent as dominant as they were before and the league see's this.
Yea, then next year we get slammed with another tough schedule. Never know. They'll (pats) most likely win the division this year.
Whats wrong with a break from tradition once in a while. Jets in Dallas, Parcells, Belliprick, Mangini,(sorcerers apprentice) leading the 10 and 0 Jets in to town, great viewing. Hey, it's Thanksgiving here too only later in the day, 12 beers and and 10 JD's have this effect. Happy thanksgiving everybody!
12 beers & 10 JDs = average daily consumption here. In St Andrews it's probably more due to all the tax-dodging students.
Doesn't bother me if it doesn't happen - I don't think the short preparation week is anything to get excited about.
Dallas has the AFC-NFC thanksgiving game next year, so the Cowboys would either play the Pats or the Jets next year on Thanksgiving. They alternate every year, so it's Dallas' turn next year to host the AFC team since they play Tampa this year. Me thinks that it may be the Jets because either way, the Thanksgiving games get ratings, and since the Pats are considered a better team, that may be a prime time game some other week. EDIT: Plus I think the Pats played on Thanksgiving 3 years ago at Detroit. I guess we'll find out in April
jeff baby, relax, it's the holiday season, wouldn't be cool to be on National TV thanksgiving? I'm thinking reason to start the weekend early with a Jets win.
I hope we get the Thanksgiving game next year then we could pull out the old 1960's New York Titans throwbacks.
I'm hoping we get a game next year, I don't ever remember a jets thanksgiving game. Question: Do teams even wear throwbacks anymore? I mean the lions aren't wearing their throwbacks and I'm not sure if the dolphins are or not (have their uni's ever changed?). I'll guess we'll see later today from the other games. I know the cowboys, bucs, and broncos all have throwbacks. If the jets get a game next year, I wanna see them pull out the 1980's jerseys, I liked those.
Meh - personally I prefer Sunday, but whatever. It would be at 4:00 PM, I guess, which is right in the middle of when my family eats for Thanksgiving, so it certainly wouldn't be doing me any favors.
I dont want to see it. I never liked short weeks, even games after a monday nighter. I'd much rather root for Dallas over NE in a good thanksgiving game and wait till sunday for the jets to play.
sadly i doubt it will happen due to the nfl love affair with NE. then again they did give us that thursday nighter vs. the skins that one time.
