I can see us picking this guy in the mid first round if we receive that kind of compensation for Abe. He is going to be a first round pick, probably anywhere from the high teens to mid 20s. His value is getting high. With the 15 pick (Falcons proposed trade for Abe) we could grab him. It would be a little early, but it's a need and Mangold will be on that line forever. He will not be there in the 2nd.

Ya know what would be cool?

D'Brick and Mangold in the 1st, Jean-Giles in the 2nd.

D'Brick & Vernon Davis in the 1st (if we get a top 15 pick for Abraham)
D'Brick & Mangold in teh 1st (if we get a pic in the 20s for Abe)

theres no way you take two offensive lineman in the first round.....or 3 in the first two rounds.....first people wouldnt realize the importance of the o-line and now people want to use the whole draft on them....kinda strange

Jean-Gilles is 350 and slow as anything. I wouldn't touch him with a ten foot pole. Lineman in this league need to be quick, they need to be able to pull, and they need to have some level of conditioning to do all that. Jean Gilles has none of it. We should concentrate on building an offensive line like Denver's. Mangold or Eslinger are guys in that mold.

Getting out of the draft D'Brick and Mangold would be amazing. Its not to far fetched either.

    Man...oh man.

Two OL with two first round picks? Three OL with two first round picks and a second round pick? This is NOT how you build a team...

Doing this would be like playing a chess match with nothing but pawns. No thanks, I'll take a queen and knight, and then worry about my pawns.

I was never one of those people who ignored the Oline.

Denver's Oline is a zone blocking, dirty unit. I don't want to emulate them.

You can't win without a superior Oline. Please, share your ideas for the draft with us.

I am not sold on D'Brick, only b/c I dont know if Jones is solid at RT, but Mangold or Eslinger and Jean-Gilles or maybe Winston Justice to play RT would be sweet. It needs to be all about the trenches. Without blocking, no QB/RB will survive/thrive. With good blocking, average guys can look outstanding.

A superior OL can be acheived without using our top 3 picks on it. Strengthen the OL through free agency and in the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th round. Use our #4 overall on the best remaining QB in the draft, and use the pick from the Abe trade on another skill position.

To be honest, I kinda like Cutler, but I wouldn't draft any other QB at 4.

What do you say we do just get some chump Center. If you're in position to draft a top prospect you do it. I mean yes we have Kendall but he's not the long term answer and I believe Mangold can be so why wouldn't you take advantage of this opportunity? Hope you can find gold later in the later rounds? We are in dire need of a center he's there what is the problem?

Looks promising, but it's all "potential" at this point

that would be a joke, we need at least 1 skill player......

and Jean-Gilles will be gone in the 1st i guarantee that. just cuz of his sheer size.

No D'Brick, we already have an LT.
