    Vilma
...thats all...he is the best player we have and the only real standout. Nobody else has really proven anything. Coles....no, Martin, no...Pannington...no...
Maybe the guy we draft at 4.

I wouldnt call Kerry Rhodes or Eric Coleman "developed" not by a long shot...although I do believe both will develop under the new coaching staff.

Yep, the jury is still out on EM. No question about it. All I know is that we hired a DB coach as head coach....and a DB coach as defensive Cord. During the last 5 years...we drafted more db's and safteys than any other position...by far.

Not one player has developed into a sure bet NFL player. With all the picks we made at those positions...we were still forced to go out and sign Barrett...abraham...Law...Tongue....to name a few.

Whatever systsem DH brought over from the Ravens didnt take place. I dont lay all the blame on him...in fact....I really dont blame any of the Cords. for their underachieving and failures...not even Paul Hackett anymore.

It was the lack of a system that came from the top. Leadership that was all talk and no walk.

To stay on track with the thread, because of what I just wrote...every Jet defensive player gets a bye going into this year....including Sean Ellis...Drob...Vilma (although statisically it was a good year...we havent seen his best yet)...any young defensive tackles that were drafted...and all of the dbacks.

If we see the same ole from them...then you maybe right...I wouldnt bet against them..thats all Im saying.

Sorry to say I disagree with U on JV now if you deleted JV & inserted Arrington then I would completely agree with you. IMHO like most on this board you are way, way over estimating JV talents.

Maybe. But let me throw this out there. Who is better, Vilma or Tatupu? I think they are both very similar players. I think Vilma is better now just because he has some more experience. He will only get better. Ray Lewis, who I think has some pretty good football sense, says JV is one of his faves. By the way in my above posts I did not intend to say that Martin has not accomplished anything if anyone thinks it came across that way.....

To my way I thinking you need a block of granite as your MLB & JV does not qualify cause he gets thrown around to much cause he is not strong enough. To build a championship team requires a very strong LB in the middle & JV flunks my ltmus test using my job descripition.

Appreciate the thought. Tough to slow me down when someone pushes my buttons.

    Robertson
    Ellis
    Vilma
Cutler (He's going to be the pick)
LenDale White (who they will get with the #9, I'm hoping!)

If I had to pick two more players on the roster, I would say Pennington and Houston.I hae my doubts about Pennington being able to return to form after these surgeries, but stranger things have happened.

Arrington doesn't play MLB either, so your statement before about switching the two doesn't make sense. His strength is blitzing from the outside and freelancing, something that only works in certain defenses. It's very hard to compare him and Vilma IMO....

I won't include any potential draftees because they're not on the team yet:

    Not in any particular order:

    1) Vilma
    2) Coles
    3) Ellis
    4) Rhodes
    5) Miller

Coleman and D-Rob are good young players also. Barton can be thrown in there too.
