TRADE! The Patriots have traded their #32 & 3rd #103 pick to the Saints for wide receiver Brandin Cooks & their 4th #118 pick per sources

I have a feeling the Pats will get a higher 1st rounder back when they they trade Jimmy G!

WOW. So un-Pats like. Cooks in last year of contract. Gave up a first for it. WOW.

Pats must be in win-now mode since they think Brady won't be around for long.

    Crazy.

Why can't teams just assume that if New England is interested in trading with you, you shouldn't do it?

  7. Goodie....that's what? 5 more years of fucking misery??

I ask again..what did Jet fans do to deserve this??

Good news: He can't burn Revis twice a year.

To me this says that they don't trust Gronk to be able to stay healthy for Brady's "final" years. I fully expect them to trade Jimmy G for the 12th overall pick and probably another pick like a 2nd or 3rd. At this point the NFL is just for entertainment and the New England region is one hell of a cash cow

    I hope NOLA (11), CLE(12) & AZ(13) are all targeting a QB, say around #6.

At least not until the Bills sign Revis.

Meh, I'm used to them winning all the time. It'll be great if they fall flat on their faces.

Hopefully Gilmore gives half ass effort too.

2017 is the Patriots last hoorah. Then the following season they'll be middle of the pack, and then a full tear down. Then we will truly find out how great Bill Belichick is without Tom Brady. Don't tell me about the one season they missed the playoffs with Cassell.

I've read this on here many times. It will be right some day! It comes down to Brady. None of the moves they've made so far hurt them next year.

  15. I think passing on the Browns entire draft for Garropolo is foolish. Unless they really believe the Browns or someone else will offer MORE than that. No player is worth a whole draft let alone a whole draft & even more...not even Brady.

I'm struggling to understand why they shop around Garropolo...get ridiculous compensation offers...and then pass on trading him. The whole thing is just very wishy washy.

I'm not convinced Garropolo is worth all this riff raff. He might be a good player..but one of Brady's biggest strengths is his ability to take huge hits & remain on the field. Garropolo couldn't even stay healthy for his 4 game rehearsal...

To just assume your back-up is close to or on par w. your franchise's best player ever is pretty foolish. Maybe I shouldn't complain though..I just want football to be watchable again. I've been reduced to Jets games & Jets games only b.c you simply cannot escape the constant Brady/Patriot hype..and who the hell outside of their fan base wants to see them get every bounce, every call, every break..every fucking GAME?

    Football gods...where are you?

First time I've ever felt this way about the Patriots. Tom will be 40. Father Time is undefeated. I won't feel sorry for any of the front running Patriots fans. You know, the fans who don't even know who Steve Grogan is.

  17. I wont feel sorry for ANY patriots fan...long time or not. Screw them all...they are completely ok w. cheating & simply deflecting blame elsewhere.I've lost faith in Karma along the way

I don't believe in karma. Luck is just the residue of a fantastic design.

The roster is young and for the most part, underpaid. How do you see them middle of the pack , full rebuild mode after next season. The projected 0-4 start of last season didn't exactly go as projected.

Nothing last forever. The walls are closing in on the Patriots franchise. I respect the Patriots, but I will enjoy that franchise being humbled. Every franchise has to go through that at some point in time. Some take longer than others. Some take a lifetime. Lol
