As the season went along we all observed how much this team needs a running back....of the three in the title I am more inclined to pick Foreman in the 2nd or 3rd instead of the other 2 in the 1st. What are some opinions on this?
This draft is way too deep at running back to take someone in the 1st or 2nd round. Take Elijah Hood in the 3rd round and call it a day
We need a RB? Could've sworn Powell was the only one to show up on offense the last quarter of the season.
Break with Tradition First 2 Rounds go Offense An OL and an RB We went D for decades and crapped out Our 2016 First Rounder Lee ranked last in rookie contribution by PFF
Sorry you can't understand that I haven't had time to keep up with all the collegiate players this year. In the games I've watched, I've not seen nor heard of any RB named Foreman. Fournette, Cook, and McCaffery are the three I've heard spoken of. I know the Conner kid from Pitt and Elijah Hood from UNC because they play in the ACC. Deal with it.
Since you quoted my post and not the OPs, how in the world was I supposed to deduce that? LOL The only RB I've ever heard of whose last name is Foreman, was Chuck Foreman of the Vikes, and he played, what, 30-40 years ago (73-80).
I posted a gif of the tv show character Eric Foreman from that 70s show. It was my attempt at internet humor. Ha
I knew the gif was Eric Foreman. Used to love that 70s show. Sorry, I thought it was a sarcastic slam on me for not knowing who the RB Foreman is.
Nah nah. I don't follow college at all. I probably know half of what you know as far as collegiate players lol.
I want Saquon Barkley very badly. I'm a fan of guys who make their own yards. If you can run behind a bad offensive line (i.e. PSU), you can run behind anything. Only thing is, he won't be eligible till next year. I'm not too high on any RB's this year. Fournette is good, but I'm always skeptical of guys who run through holes the size of craters. Obviously he's got the size/speed etc. but so did a lot of other busts. To me, we can wait a year for a back. Powell can handle a season, maybe take a back late, and Forte pretty much has to be back. Man, I'm salivating over Barkley though. Runs hard, very athletic, fast, great vision and a fantastic receiver/blocker to l boot.
It is always tempting and "sexy" to take a flashy RB high in the first round, but the problem with this philosophy is the Jets are terrible and not one playmaker away from contention. This worked very well for the cowboys, because they lacked the running back to go with their dominant Oline. In short, I would pass on a RB. Too many other holes and the position can be played at an adequate/high level with a good oline. I favor Oline, Pass Rusher, QB, TE, CB, MLB, Safety over RB.
Well put. I agree. While I like Fournette a lot and won't scream if Mac takes him or Cook in the first round, I think it would help the team more, and I would much rather that he either take Garrett or Barnett, or trade down and take Ramczyk.
I'm just a fan of adding the best talent available...there's no one way to do it. We need a stud RB as well as the positions you mentioned If Cook or Fournette are projected as an Elliot type stud I don't see why we would pass
I'd pass on the 2 studs at pk 6. Foreman would be a nice get in the 3rd, not the 2nd He's pure power, but I say he's got more wiggle than Derrick Henry. 6'1" 249 6.3 YPC, 2028 yds and 15 TD's. draftwired has him ranked 64 overall the combine could bump him into late rd 1, but I doubt it. for the jets I say no RB before rd 3. too many more pressing needs, and like so many say there are a lot of very good middle rd backs If you look at my mock, I took Alvin Kamara in the 3rd. Very underated player IMO
