I did some thinking, and I came up with why our defense looked like it did on sunday. Now don't get me wrong, it had its flaws - giving up a fifty yard run and a three play touchdown drive namely, but it confused the hell out of Brady and looked like the Patriots defense. so here's my theory - I think Mangini did some hard thought over the bye week and realized Sutton stunk as a coordinator. He was like f--k this, I'm takin over! And he took over the playcalling. It just makes too much sense, Sutton called like one blitz a game for the whole season why would he completely change his philosophies in one week? If its true its freakin great, be prepared for blitzkreig Jets the rest of the way!
possible, probably more likely that he focuses more on the D now because hes confident that brian Shott will get it done. He probably is working alot more with this patchwork defense, and maybe some play calling responsibilites. I highly doubt that he has just snubbed sutton though.
nice reply mate i agree completely. I wouldnt think that Mangini had been paying as much attention to Sutton as to Schott. Well not attention just not... advice mabey. He may have guessed that Sutton needed less teaching/guidance.
