Politics aside, being a good NFL owner versus a good Ambassador are two complete opposite spectrums and as different as being a good QB versus a good psychiatrist. Wouldn't it be nice and dandy if we get a savvy owner that brings back a football environment and pride to the Jets, and while at it moves the team out of New Jersey and back to New York where it belongs.
It's not likely. The Jets and Giants signed a 25 year lease. The first 15 years there is no ability to opt out. After years 15, 20 and 25 one team may opt out. Nothing is happening at a minimum until the end of the 15th year and which ever team hasn't opted out has to stay for the entire 25 year initial term. The Jets and Giants will be playing in the louvered garbage can for at least the next 8 years.
