Even in the year we brought Vinny Testaverde back, and the terrible season under Rex they didn't look like they quit like this. 125 total yards vs. the 30th ranked NFL defense. Putrid. Rontez Miles and Fitzpatrick look to be the only two players that care. At least the franchise is being embarrassed on National TV and it's not against a division rival. Petty needs to be in no matter what. We also have one sack against a team that's only given up less sacks than one team; the defeated Browns. They should all be ashamed of themselves.
The players have quit on the season in a way we haven't seen since the kotite days. This is a fucking joke and its impossible imo to bring bowles back. He fucking sucks and the jets have become a full blown embarrassment .
He will go. The monent that finally convinced me he was a two and done coach is when he didn't challenge the stupid sideline play in the first quarter and then called a timeout. That's just mind-boggling denseness and stupidity. If you're going to call a timeout anyway then challenge the damn play and just lose the timeout anyway, or win the challenge and get a turnover on downs! That's just grade level incompetence. And this team's quitting worse than the Pete Carroll team did.
If the decision isn't made to fire him after tonight's debacle, then he'll survive for a third season. This is the worst I can remember seeing the Jets in a long time. I can take poor performance, but a complete lack of effort, that's inexcusable and a fireable offense.
Well what's the purpose of firing him now? Unless he's dense enough to go back to Fitz AGAIN. Otherwise might as well make him drudge through the last month and fire him in early January.
I'm not saying that they would or should fire him now, just that if Woody doesn't come to the realization after tonight that it needs to happen, then he likely won't and will continue on with him for another season. I'm not sure how it can get worse than tonight, from either a performance or an effort standpoint, over the next few weeks, so I'm not sure that there's anything that could happen over the next four weeks that would make Woody make a change that hasn't happened tonight or earlier in the season.

What gets me is that I seriously think Todd Bowles is as stupid as they come. The entire world would have sat Fitzpatrick months ago and it took until 3-9 before Bowles gets it. He troops out Wilkerson, Breno and Revis every game and they are (next to Fitzpatrick) the worst players on the team). .Parcells would have sat them months ago. There is no discipline at all as the jets got three dead ball personal fouls in the first half. MOST OF ALL they play with no passion and they look defeated before the game starts--They take the opening kickoff out to the 10 yard line--3 and out, TD for colts, three and out, Another TD for colts. BOWLES NEVER HAS THE JETS READY TO PLAY, DAMN IT. He is an embarrassment.. Woody is stupider for keeping him as coach.
I feel like all this was established weeks ago. Seriously, the team in, 'I don't give a shit' mode, Bowles terrible coaching and game management. I don't see how he remains in 17. This essentially took away my joy of watching football for an entire year. Unforgivable, something that we all look forward to and enjoy has been taken from us. I still don't blame Woody. The guy was as diligent as anyone could be putting this together.
