The funny thing is Hispanics are extremely conservative, and have only voted Democrat, historically, on the issue of immigration. Increasing Hispanic populations don't shift the population away from conservatives, the Republican Party simply needs to appeal to them on the issue of immigration. If Republicans can do that Democrats may truly never win another election as the Hispanic population increases.
