My point was that rarely does any team look for a head coach when they have a solid qb. Those teams are usually winning enough to not want to fire the h.c. Any team looking for a h.c is usually in bad shape at the qb position so i don't think that is as big a deal breaker as you are making it. The fact that we have had bowles for 22 games and the media and the fans are calling for his head probably will factor more into who decides they don't want to take the job I.m.o.
I'd take Coughlin. He has had success with couple teams. The way he let Odell Beckham continue in last years game against panthers though was surprising. I guess Odell is bigger than the team. That said, a good coach with experience would be a welcome change over another first time defensive co. becoming head coach.
