Liar. You didn't post once here from February 2015 until you started your dumb "Will this loss start a losing streak?" thread at the end of September.
This is actually false. I'm not going back to 2014, because the team was much different and the comparison is irrelevant. For 2015, the Jets actually beat 2 winning teams (Patriots and Redskins). I'm not sure why people keep low balling this number. So far this year the Jets' one win is against a 4-2 team. I honestly think it is more about getting out coached and poor situational football, than it is about the team just stinking against good teams. Think of it this way. At least we aren't the Panthers. The Panthers had high exceptions coming off a Newton MVP season where they made it to the super bowl. Now they are 1-5, and most people had them making the playoffs at the very least. Yes, starting 1-4 sucks after going 10-6 last year, but this is the hardest part of the schedule right now. After Arizona, the Jets have 4 very winnable games. If they can somehow sneak in a win at Arizona, it could potentially turn things around. All I'm saying it's it's not over yet. The Jets were a streaky team last year, and the same thing could happen again. You have to give the kid more than 5 games in the NFL. Giving up on him that fast is the only joke here. Welp, I predicted 2 more wins than you did, and hindsight is always 20/20. We'll see if your predictions come true at the end of the season, right now it's a bit premature. If the Jets can go from 4-1 to 5-5, surely they can go from 1-4 to 5-5.
Then you're even more of a genius than you pretend you are, considering you would have predicted this season over a year and a half in advance.
Says the genius who thought I was out of my mind for predicting the team could enter a tailspin after such a poor start. Meanwhile, this team is soon to be 1-5 after tonight and 1-6 before they win another game. But keep stroking Todd Bowles and see how that works out for you.
Nonsense. The Redskins were a 2-4 football team when they faced the Jets, therefore the Jets did NOT beat a winning team. Just because the Redskins played better in a terrible division after facing the Jets does not mean the Jets beat them as a winning team. YES. the Jets do have 3 very winnable games after AZ (I don't believe they'll beat Baltimore), but that can be very deceiving..... Todd Bowles has already proven he can beat bad teams. He beat 9 of them last season. Those wins could take the focus off of toilet Bowles and his inept coaching style. I do not want Bowles around for another season, even I am nearly positive he will be. What I say has no effect on Darron Lee. I just think it is a bad pick and at least to me it is obvious. I said prior to the season, before Fitz resigned that the Jets would win 5 or 6 games with Fitz and 4 or less with Geno. I still hold to that prediction.
I can just barely see the Jets finishing at 8-8. Normally, they'll win enough games to keep them out of the top 5 picks on draft day. Then again, they'd probably fck that up too by going BPA/DL.
We are just an awful team. The Browns, while also awful, have been competitive. Their fans are probably licking their chops to play us at this point.
poorly coached,,,FromHC to OC to DC this team is just so bad and hard to watch,,,,,,the GM does not get a free pass here at all
i dont want us to get to .500 i want us to play all the young guys. get them reps. get them game action. not worry about record, and at the end of the year be able to say we got valuable experience from the young guys, saw what our 2 young qbs look like, and have a top 5 pick because of a bad record
Let's see who is left after the bye. Schefter or one of them says Johnson is pissed and he certainly looked pissed at the game last night..too bad our bye won't come until week 11.
It's still possible, but I have lost a lot of faith in our coaching staff. They don't come up with quality gameplans that utilize the strengths of our personnel. It's like they're trying to fit a square peg through a round hole. I want to rebuild with the draft picks. It's not about our record this season.
