The other guy was ighedigbo. I believe the pats knocked him out of the previous game with some cheap shot. Rex picked guys with an ax to grind to go out for the toss.
So very sad to wake up to this news. RIP Dennis Byrd. He was one of the good guys, who was a very positive, and inspirational man. My sincere condolences to his family, and friends. You will always be forever in Jets fans hearts.
2016 ...well what a year so far ugh! And now wake up to this Dennis Byrd news Tremendous person who overcame every players worse nightmare ...paralysis. Guy was a fighter and walked again. wow! I guess his message is NEVER QUIT Tragic loss..My condolences to the family and RIP man
Best part of having him on the team was hearing the drunk CBS announcers try and pronounce his name during the game.
Heard this last night and couldn't believe it. Come back from what he came from to end up in a head on collision. It's like something out of a bad book.
That might have been the shittiest week in Jets history. Al Toon announced his retirement on Thanksgiving morning earlier that week. Fucking team is just cursed.
This sucks. Can't really say much that hasn't been said. I'm guessing it was a drunk driver. You don't go 88mph on the wrong side of the road unless you're either under the influence or mentally disabled. RIP Dennis Byrd, great inspiration to all.
maybe you guys have heard more details,,,I heard that the driver 17 years old and another kid 12 years old are both in bad shape,,,,,,I heard the road or route they were on was called 88 so Im not sure if the kid was speeding or going 88 mph but reports say he veered out of his lane,,,,,I think Byrd was driving a HUMMER but I am not sure,,,,,sad day for Byrd his family and for Jets fans
What an incredible moment that was. As much shit as Rex gets having Dennis come talk to the team was awesome. RIP, such sad news.
