I fully expect the pansy playbook to be put in this week..you know the one where he gets 20 completions for 97 yards.

I think it's funny how much shit fans give this team about neglecting the offense. I think our offense plays quite well for the puny investment we've put into it.

I'm FAR more upset that we've put so much money and so many draft picks into the DEFENSE and they still can't stop anybody from doing anything. If they would live up to their end of the deal, the offense we have would be more than enough to carry us all the way.

More likely just one, if his past history against Pittsburgh is any indication:

    Result, Score, TD, Int

    2008
    L 38-10 1 0
    L 27-10 1 1

    2010
    L 19-16 1 1

    2014
    L 30-23 2 1

Different teams, but Pitt has played a consistent type of defense for many years.
Our defense needs to step up, obviously.

How relevant was his history against KC?

The key, which took me a real long time to discover, is to never have high hopes for this franchise.

It's embarrassing he hasn't been benched yet but that's just the way it goes sometimes

Let's hope Bowles looks like a genius for sticking with Fitz or comes to his senses quickly and pulls him if he struggles

Not fair to the rest of the team or the fans

I still have faith in hackenberg. I think that den/dal/philly have done an amazing job as a coaching staff in creating a game plan and playbook to put their rookies in a position to succeed. this is something I dont think that bowles can really do on his own for an offensive player, I also dont see gaily being able to do much of this from the booth... to me hes more of a chess player then a sideline coach.

If i was the jets I would have looked for some retired NFL QB who is looking to get into coaching and interview them to be a QB coach. with the upside of becoming an OC in the future.

As bad as Fitz has been, and many (most?) think Bowles should bench him, if he pulls his head out of his ass and we beat NE twice and make the playoffs we will be carrying Bowles around on our shoulders calling him a genious (for not listening to us ;))

You want Bowles to do something quickly? You just don't get it, do you?

well for one, these are not equatable numbers. Example: 9 dropped TD's in a season, you're gone. 9 interceptions in a full 16 game season, you're in the money. Like flip it, say Fitz has 9 TD's in one game, that's pretty darn good, but if a WR had 9 in two games, that's fantastic, probably record breaking. it's just uneven, just because all the numbers are "9" doesn't mean they're equal in weight

That would be the Jets continuing to be the Jets.

    Unfortunate.

Not even that. How's this for a hypothetical scenario.....Geno Smith is the Jets QB and he throws 9 INTs in 2 weeks.

You think we'd see many Jets fans claiming he should get a chance to right the ship like we are seeing with Fitzpatrick???

Lol nope. I think if any of those players preformed that badly they need to be benched at least for a little while. Make them earn the spot.

If a rookie running back fumbles once or twice in a game they are usually pulled... why does a QB get to throw 6 picks
