Belichick is the franchise. always has been. they will be competitive as long as he's the HC. Br*dy is a good system QB, nothing more. Jimmy G is a poor mans Br*dy in that system. Neither would thrive outside of Belichick imo..
i like that bet too. Brissett is just too raw to be thrust into a TNF matchup at this point in time. Pats D and ST's will keep it somewhat close tho.
Is Garoppolo expected to play or something? Before I went to sleep the line on the game was -2.5 Houston as the favorites. Here at work on my lunch break just noticed it's an even pickem spread. Something (player status wise) had to of changed for the line to change like that.
or everyone was betting in one direction so the oddsmakers changed the line to get people like you to think something is up and split the bets a little. that's how it works. The oddsmakers aren't football experts and they sure as hell aren't shoulder experts
Patriots' "sources" are saying that NE isn't ruling out JG starting, and at the least he will be active as the backup/emergency QB (hence no veteran brought in during a short week). Injury has basically been demoted to "pain tolerance/strength to throw" at this point, which is miles better than it looked initially.
Boomer hates the Jets, he's the opposite of a homer - he goes out of his way to talk them down. Esiason is a Bengal through and through, he turned his back on the Jets a long time ago
I disagree i think he's a good analyst and like typical of all of us in the "jets cult" he can give tough love when its necessary to give tough love. I will admit he has a tendency to get a bit wacky in recent years, I think to get notoriety for his radio show, but in general I think he's quite good. He is at his best in color commentary. When he does MNF on westwood one with Kevin Harlan I think its the best crew in the whole business. On monday nights I let my wife watch TV because the ESPN broadcast with Jon Gruden is a complete joke and the radio broadcast is so much better that I would rather listen to the game than watch it.
The fake spike game should be called the Boomer Choked game. The only redeeming thing about him is that he's a Ranger fan
The Boston Herald reports the Patriots are "putting pressure" on Jimmy Garoppolo (shoulder) to be ready for Thursday's game, and have "(reminded) him Tom Brady played through a similar injury on multiple occasions throughout his career." Per reporter Jeff Howe, Garoppolo is "still struggling to lift his right arm," so it continues to seem like his supposed up-in-the-air status is just a ruse. Garoppolo will be listed as "limited" again on Wednesday, but we'd be shocked if he started Thursday night's game against the Texans. Source: Boston Herald Sep 20 - 7:08 PM Haha. Briskett would be burnt Krispy in other words
Helmets can only do so much to help your brain when it gets violently pressed against your skull repeatedly
If they lose the next twelve, then I'll be happy for them to go 4-0 in those first four games. I can hope, can't I?
And they defy the odds yet again... I just wonder what rule they are exploiting this time. They simply can't lose, and the refs treat them like royalty with those calls. It also doesn't help that teams lie down for them.
