I have a 14 yr old who I am taking to his first Jets game in Buffalo this year sept 15th. (I just bought Bills season tickets) I have tried in vain to convert him to a Bills fan but he remains a Jets fan no matter what , so I've learned to accept it. I had wanted to get him a jersey but I think I should wait until after the game and give it to him on his birthday in Oct. . Anyways , when we go to the game , I would like him to meet other Jets fans so he can be with his own fan base for a while before we go to our seats. I don't think the Bills fans would screw with him as much as they would screw with me for letting him wear a Jets jersey but maybe you can convince me it'll be ok.
I have been a Jets fan since 1965. I have hung out at other sites, but have tired of the two extremes that seem to dominate. Either homers who attack you if you dare to criticize the jets or negative Nancys that make you wonder why they call themselves Jets fans. Anyway, I just like to exchange honest opinions and observations. So far, this place seems pretty good.
there is some of that here too, its the way these fan forums work. we do tend to have less than other sites though.
Hey everyone, new member here. Jets fan since the late 70's. Was on another board for a little while but I found it unbearable. Looking forward to joining in on some good Jets discussion. Lets go Jets!!!
Newbie here. Jets fan since ... well, see if you can figure it out. I live in western Canada so I don't get to see too many games, so I'll probably lurk more than post, just trying to follow the team.
Sorry guys might be wrong thread but i have a newbie question. What is the sportsbook? Like i have wagered on a few games but can you use that to win jets gear or something? Obvsly its fake pts or whatever just not sure what we use it on.
New Jets fan from Australia, the reason I have decided to go with the jets I wanted to pick a team that plays in a city I would like to visit next time I go to the states. Also a team that does have a rich history and is a team with ups and downs. I want to get into supporting the NFL since I now have the time during the week to watch games. I look forward to some good discussions. Adam
Became a Jet fan right when Pennington first broke out... He wasn't necessarily the reason I started rooting for them, it just happened to be when I started to really get into football and my Dad is a Jets fan. My favorite team in sports, when they win the super bowl in my lifetime I may actually shed a few tears.
Greetings All from down under in New Zealand, The game that we embrace down here is rugby (you may have heard of the All Blacks?) however we now get 5 or 6 live NFL games a week and a solid support base is developing. Ive only been a Jets fan for the past two years and coming to NY for Xmas 2017 and come hell or high water will be at the Jet v Bills game on 01/01/17. The question I have is that I (plus wife and two boys 15 and 16) want to make the absolute most of the day. I have been on the ticketing site and there seems to be a lot of game day options.... Whatever game day looks like for a Jets fan ... well we want to live that. I played and managed professional rugby teams for 12 years and really interested in the whole operation and oh luv beer (looking at various threads that seems to help). We have kept the whole day free and planning on it being big! Whilst we are fans this will be our first live game. Down here in New Zealand a rugby game day for the fans can start many hours before kick off in a bar our other such venue prior to heading for the stadium Any advice much appreciated, Thanks Derek
I was a poster at JI from 09 till they closed shop. Been a die hard since the Parcells days not as long as alot of you but have had my fair share of disappointments and heart breaks thanks to the Jets.
