Clearly not dealing with an a actual Jets fan here but most likely some deeply frustrated, Momma's basement dwelling Bills, Dolphins (or perhaps even a Giants) fan whose main agenda is to try aggravating unsuspecting true/real Jets fans with his (or maybe her) deliberately idiotic, contrarian posts. Since his actual team doesn't seem to offer anything worthwhile to merit the time to thereby focus his rooting interest, he obviously doesn't have anything better to do than masquerade as a Jets fan and lay blatantly conspicuous troll bait. Pretty pathetic if you think about it. If everyone could simply place him on "IGNORE," both he and his totally useless posts will disappear into the sad oblivion that no doubt defines his existence in general and his social life in particular. Were it not for aggro he causes those who unwittingly take his bait, I'd actually feel even sorrier for the poor guy than I do already....
I guess Bowles dialed up the INTC when we needed to run clock? With a bonafide punter on our team? Hack played ok, but that G or T would have been better for the season if we could have worked it out or drafted one. Instead what did we get out of tonight's game?
I'm not a Jet fan? Really? Feel sorry for me realizing that Hack was a stupid pick? And we needed OL help with that developmental pick in the 2nd round? I may be an antagonist to some, but not those who love the team more than silly ideas.
He needs work but was SO much better than what I expected. That INT was an awful decision. His accuracy was really good and he has a live arm. We all need to STFU and understand that he needs to be brought along slowly. We ruined Sanchez. We ruined Geno. Can we please give the kid a chance to learn without the pressure of answering questions about whether he should start?
Still believe that way after Hack gave the game away. Sure it's a meaningless preseason game, truth is your wonder boy with the IQ threw a pick when all we had to do is run it and punt. The defense made a goal line stand, then Sanchez, oops, Hackenberg gave the game to the Giants. Right after you were blowing his horn I bet?
So now you telling me a rookie QB decided to throw the ball in that situation when he was clearly getting signals from the sidelines and doesnt make any calls. Yes it was a bad throw, but they could of also ran the ball and punted it back please stop man. lmao it was his first game he looked good move on and stop complaining every thread.
Got back in time for the Revis pick...He has looked really good this preseason.Looks more like the Revis we remember.
Do you know what those signals were? What if it was his option? He is training to be an NFL QB you know? He looked like a late round draft choice playing 4th string in a game he lost. I wouldn't say good yet. Unless you are begging for Nacho's return. My only true gripe is that our so called "excellent" FO drafted this muck, when they could have did something a little more immediate for the team now. Not MAYBE 3 years from now. The NFL is win now, not build for a future that might not exist, from one regime to another.
To me he looked really good out there as a signal caller and under the center...With time and settling his feet he looked like a big time QB on some throws Some major drops by the RB and other guys, but he was with some third stringers there
He was better than I thought he would be, he made a bad decision but let's be real, a few bs penalties put us at the 2 yard line. Playing conservative after a great punt return also only gave us 3 in what should have been 7. His throws had zip, his feet looked fine and his throw to Sudfield was a big time throw, we'll see more of him next week I assume but he looked like a guy who needs some work but didn't completely shit himself
Pretty accurate assessment Barry. What he did on the field was good, but I liked his post game stuff just as much. Seems to have a good head on his shoulders. Petty has made a good jump from year 1 to year 2. Hope the same for Hack. The future could be bright for a position that has not been for many years.
Who gives a shit that we lost by a point? Hack impressed me with a few throws, the TD throw was a beauty, and he didn't get hurt. All that equals success in my mind.
Ever consider that the coaching staff called a passing play precisely because it was a meaningless preseason game, i.e. they wanted to give Hack a chance to make a pressure throw?
accuracy? i mean he had some nice throws but overall missed the mark too often. not all the incompletions are on him but 6/16 isnt great accuracy, and more of what was a major concern for him coming in. im less worried about the int... chalk it up to rookie decision make, you can work on that
up and down type of performance you'd expect from a rookie in his first live snaps. he did make some big boy throws though.
