That's like saying "Hmmm, I really like the dog-turd-flavored donut over all of the other turd-flavored pastries. The worms just make it work."
Mangold has proved himself a solid pick. Leon and Smith both have HUGE potential but neither (not even Leon) have proved that they have adapted from college to the full standard of the pros. Mangold is the one who is playing the most like a veteran
The fact we are discussing 4 or 5 guys that are making major contributions to this team is amazing. Of the other NFL teams how many rookies are getting serious burn on O or D..This is not just play them cause we suck, they are making a difference in W's and L's. This might be one of the best drafts ever for the Jets.
Brad Smith. I just love the fact that he is all over the field, even if the Jets aren't using him in legit form as of now. Leon Washington is RIGHT under Brad. Who would have thought he would be the starting RB for this team when we have guys like Barlow, Houston, and even Blaylock. He's really impressed me so far.
I prefer Leon, because without him, we would be averaging like 2 yards per carry it seems, but then again, without Mangold and Brick making blocks, we wouldn't even have the running game we have now.
Brad Smith because he was the "best deal" on draft day. Can't fault Leon either. Could become one of the best.
Just the fact that we got Leon with the pick for Herm makes him my favorite.. Not to mention, he just seems like a total class act..
Leon Washington is one of my faves but he's not a sure #1 back... D'Brick was kind of a wasted pick imo... Nick Mangold has a cool name, cool hair, and he's doing perfect xD
