Not only did the Jets make the right call in D'Brick and Mangold, they should repeat it again next year and get a RT, guard and big NT in the early rounds next year.

If the Jets traded draft picks for reggie Bush than I'm sure we would have gotten a thread.. "What if we hadn't traded draft picks for Bush"

Its important for the fans, media and players to get behind Tangini. At 4-4 the new guys get the support they need. Its about a change in attitude. We don't need flash we to win

Every good team builds from the inside out (Steelers, Pats, Eagles). That doesn't mean you take O or D linemen every year at your top spot, but you better keep the focus there if you want to succeed.

I hope we get "booed" in April 2007 when we draft a big fatass defensive lineman to plug the line instead of the best rated running back remaining on the board. Reggie Bush is a really good player, no argument there. Reggie Bush running behind last year's Jets O-line = problem city.

I love the way everyone assumes we wouldn't have improved the OL if we drafted Reggie Bush. I was never really on the Bush bandwagon but there are many ways to build an Ol other than using two #1s to do it.. We might have had Bush & an improved OL.

IMO, those are two of the best picks in years, especially Mangold, who I believe should get consideration for OROTY.

Bush is extremely overrated. He has the ability to make the big play, but he's not a franchise back as far as I'm concerned. So far, he has averaged 10 carries per game, and even with the lighter workload, he is only averaging 2.6 YPC. Even at USC he only averaged 15 carries per game. This guy is NOT going to be a 25-30 carry per game running back in the NFL. He'll be a threat, but for that kind of money, he's being well overpaid.

Taking Reggie Bush probably would have set the Jets franchise back another 5 years, as they would have invested everything in one player and NOTHING in the offensive line that would block for him. With D'Brick and Mangold, the Jets have two offensive linemen who will anchor the line for 10-15 years. And Leon Washington is a much better, cost effective option right now for the Jets. He is outputting Bush's production while making $8 million less.

I'm glad you brought that up, because there were alot of Jets fans who were demanding that the Jets trade up for Reggie Bush (PLAYER OF THE CENTURY!)

Oh I don't know, the Saints figured out a way to sign all there draft picks after Bush. I'm sure we would have figured it out too. Seems they fielded a pretty decent team as well. Now don't get me wrong, I'm happy with the way things turned out, I never wanted Bush at the time & still wouldn't but I think it is pretty ridiculous to suggest that there is no other way of improving the OL than spending two #1 picks. Hell we probably would have still gotten Mangold anyway who has been easily our best rookie..
