It needed to be said (mostly because I wanted to be a smart ass and offset the other thread). Tougher schedule, QB drama, Wilk drama, Sheldon suspension, an aging core, a lack of depth, and that new car smell worn off an inexperienced coaching staff. A few costly injuries to our WRs and RBs and we are screwed. This thread is intended to nitpick the Jets and talk shit about our weaknesses and how we have no chance of beating other teams Time for more billboards!
Manish just tweeted that an unnamed source has informed him that a 5-11 season is indeed "possible" because, according to the source, "we haven't played a goddamn game yet you fricken' moron! Anything is possible"
Stripped down...this team isn't deep enough to sustain a single injury to any starter on any unit. And you know we'll have at least one.
This seems more realistic than 11-5. Either with Fitz, or Geno, idc, I think we will be in the 7-9 to 9-7 boat, but history shows that It's about time for an injury riddled, letdown season.
took the words right out of my mouth, injury riddled let down season, 5-11 is more reasonable, injury to marshall or decker and we're fucked, teams wont double team anymore
It's one of the reasons I really wish we took Treadwell in the draft. We really needed to add depth at wr. But then again you can't fill every void in a single off-season.
Forget 5-11 We are destined for greatness.....Ah yes... It will be Xmas in July for Mr Scrooge Ryan Fitzpatrick who dares to continue his hold out for more filthy lucre to the dismay of a PO front office and nervous fans anxious to avoid some coal in their stockings (GeNO) But all that will change after some visitation by the Spirits of 7 Mediocre QBs of Past who took their teams to a Championship!!: M Rypien J McMahon B Johnson D Williams J Plunkett J Hofstetler and T Dilfer ALLL WILL COMMAND HIM TO ARISE AND WIN A SB !! lol
I would have traded Wilkerson for Alshon Jeffrey being they're in the same situation, and maybe give or take a draft pick, this actually crossed my mind a few times, marshall as the #1 , Jeffrey #2 , decker in the slot
As great as it sounds, I doubt both organisations would have wanted to do that. Add to that, that the team would still have to dish out a large contract to Jeffrey then.
