I'm just not convinced he's a legitimate NFL starter. A marginal prospect imo. (hope I'm wrong of course!) ... something about him, looks like one of those good college QB's who never makes it in the pros.

That is baloney...they have stated repeatedly they are but that he still needs to work on his happy feet... F Fatboy he is a pompous ass and his opinions are worthless.
It shouldn't come as a surprise to anyone if we aren't high on Petty. There are very few successful QB's drafted in Round 4
That wouldn't surprise me at all. I haven't heard them say anything that strikes me as overly positive about him. But, one thing about this regime, is that they are extremely tight-lipped. There just aren't a lot of valid leaks.
I mean, they have seen him in practice, become familiar with his work habits and attitude, and I would guess they have gotten informal feedback about him from veterans like Fitz. I doubt their feelings on him are set in stone, but I would think they have some opinion on his overall potential.
That is they are "high on him..." Come on now Mr. Sojaz, show us anything at all from anybody at all anywhere within the Jets organization that has made a Petty related comment in the last year that goes beyond damning with faint praise.
