There was like 3 FG attempts within the last 30-40 seconds in the game. Funny stuff. Novak (Skins) misses a 49-yarder, Cowboys then go down into FG range for Vanderjagt, but his kick gets blocked. Sean Taylor gets a good return + face mask penalty to get Novak into FG range once again. This time, he finally knocks down the 40+ yarder to win the game. 19-22.
Do all of these awful losses for Dallas make it more likely, or less likely, that Parcells retires at the end of the season?
Not good for the Jets considering we have the Skins 2nd round pick, we want them to lose as much as possible.
I have a problem with the face mask penalty, I don't think it was 15 yarder. It was obvious he touched it but more like a brushing as opposed to a grabbing. Gotta give Sean Taylor credit though for trying to gain as much yardage as possible as opposed to falling down.
Great question. I think the answer may sit squarely on the shoulders of Tony Romo. If he shows promise, I'd stay, if I were Bill Parcells.
TO is now dropping about 2-3 balls a game. 1 in this game would have probably ended all hope for skins but he was just a little bit late on it and dropped it. he is not the best reciever in the league is the point here i guess
15 yarder on the facemask at the end of the game is extremely harsh. I call BS on that. I'm a Parcells guy and was rooting for the Cowboys, unbelievably shitty ending for Da Boys.
for an "elite" kicker vanderjacht sure has a terrible history of making kicks that decide games late.
Isn't that why the Colts ditched him in favor of Vinatieri? (well, besides the fact that he's a complete moron whenever he opens his mouth) I was rooting for the Cowboys for that exact reason. Luckily, the Skins still have a pretty tough sked in front of them. Hopefully, they don't make it out of the season with more than 5-6 wins.
I love Parcells too, but I hate Jerry Jones and Teresa Owens more than anything else in the NFL. Therefore I passionately root against Dallas and laugh at the mess Teresa is making of the team.
To his defense, the left side of that line did a shit job, not even touching Troy Vincent... So he gets a mulligan there, but he does have a problem making clutch kicks.
PTI had it prett good when they talked about the facemask penalty. From the review, it doesn't look that bad, but when watching it live on the field, his head does get turned around, which is the definition of a 15 yard facemask. SO IMO, they made the right call, although it shouldn't have been a 15 yarder, if you catch my drift.
The rule is not if someone's head gets turned around it's if you grab and and don't let go, clearly he grabeed the facemask but almost immdeiately let go. it should have been a 5 yarder.
