He is SS in LB clothing. Bowles is probably going to use him like Deone Bucannon. I see the vision and I think it will work but there were better players on the board in my opinion or we could have traded down. As I write this the Redskins just traded down right after us.

Darron Lee plus 10 lbs is a perfectly proportioned ILB with speed in a 3-4.

I did want Treadwell, but glad we didn't take any of the QBs. Also glad we didn't draft Reed the DL and try to build a wall

Who? This isn't that good a draft to begin with.

I stand corrected. Kinda disappointing, however all of our ILB's worth a damn are over 28 years old.

Are we sure Rex didn't mail this pick in for us?

Last draft they lucked on Williams falling. The rest of the draft pretty much sucked. This pick is crap value. They don't know what they're doing. Id rather be a Browns fan right now. That analytics shit works.

I see him falling to second round unless someone reaches. I see the Jets going for Hackenberg in rnd 3

Except Darron Lee is not an edge rusher.

I think maybe they did draft him as a 3-4 ILB. The point above about Ryan Shazier is right. Having a fast ILB next to the guy who takes on the guards gives you a lot of flexibility on passing downs.

With the frequency that we play the Nickel and dime under Bowles, I'm happy with this pick. Brings speed and tackling ability to a sparse position.

Agreed on the Browns. They really knocked this draft out of the park.

You guys are nuts. We needed speed at linebacker, a outside pass rusher, and LBs that can cover in the passing game. Lee is all of those things. Jets fans really do bitch no matter who we pick, I love this pick

Yes because they lucked into walking into the #2 pick and having someone give them a crapload for it. And for all we know they 'did' pass on the franchise QB they needed. Can we let these guys play a game in the NFL before we determine THIS WORKS!!!

Then you don't understand Bowles' defense. Look at what he did in AZ with Deon Bucannon.

The Jets have said all offseason that they needed speed at LB and on the edge. They've had no one to cover over the middle. Now they do and they have someone with great speed and instincts.
