I see what you're trying to say. The "unknown" is appealing to you based on what? What have you seen from Geno that convinces you he has the possibility of improving? Not what you've heard 3rd person, but what specifically have you seen that implies he has the ability to improve. I don't expect a coherent response from you as I've asked you this question 3 different times now..

Physical talent is something that I've never questioned with Geno. He just Dosent seem to have the mental ability that makes a QB. That position is different, always has been. Physical ability at the QB position Dosent matter as much as the intangibles.

A QB needs to have pre snap ability/recognition. The ability to make quick reads to the 2nd reciever. Needs to have pocket awareness. Needs to be able to lead men. Can't make the same mistakes (pick 6's),running backwards, and. OT understanding the blocking schemes. I like your blind enthusiasm but at this point it's blantenly obvious you are a Genobot. Not a Jets fan

Everything you just said you can teach. I know I know he to stupid to learn. So I guess Bowls is stupid since he made him the starter last season?

how many times does 007 highjac a thread to spread his geno love. Geno smith sucks I actually signed out to read what he said this time and and at a loss for words. YHe doesn't care about what he did in college? that is the only successful pat of his career. Geno smith sucks as a pro qb period. 007 please stop hijacking threads about how great you think a sucky qb can be. And how bad fitz was. You just bring down the iq of the board collectively when you post trash like that.
Show me stats not beliefs. The stats show Geno Smith sucks, but wait maybe stats aren't everything maybe he can pass a test in game like against the raiders, sorry he was brain dead in that game and that is Geno's issue. He has no football IQ, Geno Smith sucks as you watch him play and when you nlook at the stats. Save your beliefs for yourself and stop spreading stupid.

Nowhere in this thread was or should smith's name been brought into it...I wonder who started it? F Geno smith the thought of him starting makes me physically ill. And as far as Bowles naming him the starter lets use selective memory when Gailey said he was the starter and Bowles said there is a competition. You can't even say Geno was ahead when he provoked the 53rd player on the roster to break his jaw, but you forget about that to. That alone should show how freaking moronic Geno the living turn Smith is.

You may want to see him play but the rest of don't want to suffer to prove you wrong.

I call bull shit. 98% of your posts are about Geno Smith. Stop trolling threads with ways to bring Geno up. Just stop. You're making yourself look more foolish than you already are.

But I give you credit for continuing to be so dumb even when you have Zero stats or data to support this claim. You my friend are truly exceptional.... Like the kid who rides the short bus and thinks he's a world leader. Just please change your screen name to KimJung007

True. I actually like the idea of Keenum if Fitz does not sign with the Jets. Have a 3 way battle in camp. IMO Case has more upside than Smith but less than Petty. Iv never liked lefty quarterbacks though... But he has system familiarity and experience with Chan so that's a huge plus

I've always said I had no problems with a 3 way battle, but I think that should includes Fitz if he signs. You like stats? Just look back at Fitzs 11 year career and he still makes dumb mistakes.

Geno Smith has thrown more pick 6's than any guy with less than 30 starts.... And why is this? Because nobody who makes the continual mistakes Geno Smith has gets additional "opportunities". Perople have usually seen enough. And you still want more. Seems logical

Geno won 8 games as a rookie while Mariota won 3. However, I'm pretty sure after their first seasons, their respective fan bases felt completely different about the future of their teams' QB position.

I like your thinking. But there is always something magical having a young QB who's taking his lumps, but getting better yr over yr. We can enter a new season with HOPE the young gun has gotten better and will continue to climb.

The downside to re-signing Fitz is we don't have any hope/expectations for exceptional QB play (dare I day 'franchise'). We already know Fitz's ceiling very well, and it's not 'franchise' worthy. Fitz is 'good', but the excitement/hope for something special just isn't there with him like it would be with a young QB still learning.

Oh well it is what it is.
