same here....heard his name a few times especially when 'the other guy' was stinking up the joint, but can't really remember him on the field much. I think maybe one play. Certainly not enough to say he's 10x better than anyone. Hopefully with full time play we'll all get to know (and love) him
Bad joke, even worse analogy. Henderson was plenty serviceable and can compete for the starting job, probably win it. Good signing especially considering what DD got.
Smart move. Push the young player's money back, as we will want him on the roster even in 3 years. Mac seems very hesitant to restructure the big cap numbers of Marshall/Mangold/Brick and maybe even Revis because he wants to be able to cut them after this year if the play drastically declines (when their dead money number goes down). That's why I figured Skrine was another prime candidate for a restructure.
Spot on. Mac seems to have a prudent understanding of how to compete now without mortgaging the future, and of how to balance the talent evaluation and financial aspects of assembling a team. After years of watching Bradway, Tannebaum, Idzik, et al, I've been very impressed with Mac thus far. I think we might have finally gotten it right at GM. Time will tell
you werent watching very closely then. he took more and more time away from davis as the year went on. he was very serviceable when he was in there. he isnt lawrence taylor but for 3.1 million over 2 years he doesnt need to be he needs to be a guy who can play a role in a defense.
my seats aren't the best so I sometimes miss substitutions, especially on defense.I'll better attention this year!
Nice to bring back serviceable guys who know the system. The whole starting defense from Bowles year 1 should basically remain intact other than NT, 1 linebacker, and a corner. The only ones who have to learn the D will be the NT and a linebacker most likely. Definitely will look for this D to take the next step, especially if we get big leaps in production from Williams and Mauldin in their second years.
This is a good signing. Bringing back Henderson gives Jones another year to acclimate to the NFL if he needs it. If Jones is ready, this gives the Jets a backup LB who already knows the system.
I misinterpreted that, excuse the herb. http://www.hngn.com/articles/173502...es-future-david-harris-replacement-report.htm Take that as you will, but one thing I noticed about Bowles is if he doesn't like a guy you don't hear anything positive about the player [i.e. Milliner, Coples]
