You've already proved your oblivious if you think Cromartie has played better than Williams or if he's worth the $8+ million he's due next year.

I think Williams is on the rise. The dude has flashed plenty of times. I personally would have no problem replacing Cro with Williams.

You've already proven yourself oblivious if you think Williams can be a decent #2, remember seeing him get abused the year before this one?

He has only flashed because he is buried behind Revis, skeins, and cro on the depth chart, the guy is a ball hawk no doubt but just because he is better than mcdnoodle and mr.glass, doesn't mean much

So what you are saying is, we should ignore how good Williams was last year because he was bad 2 yeaes ago and ignore how bad cromartie was last year because he was good 2 years ago?

He has flashed when given the opportunity. What does being behind Revis or better than Milliner or McDougle have to do with it?

    If Mac is smart:
    1. release cromartie (obvious)
    2. don't even think of bring back 200 year old Calvin Pace
    3. resign fitz but don't break the bank--if he demands too much $$$ move on
    4. draft OL in first TWO rounds of draft--the current OL is weak on talent and way too old
    5. get some speed at RB and OL--cutting Pace automatically improves the speed
    6. don't break the bank on Mo--save some $$ for Harrison
    7. don't draft ANY WR--you got plenty
    8. Throw away Quigley's phone number--gotta be a better free agent punter out there.

Wow.Where to start??Lets start with the cap.Revis cap hit is high at 17m so is D`Brick at 14.1m.Revis is not going anywhere with 23m guaranteed ,at least for next season .The jets have about 14m as of today with Mo not signed,if they use the franchise tag its going to be 16m.So the jets need to cut into the cap space cause we`re minus 2m even just to tag MO.That means rewriting the deals with Revis and Brick.Releasing Cro,Polk,Gia and others.Fitz is going to get a raise if not from the jets from somebody else.We need cap space if we`re going to get better. What are our needs???Punter, kicker, punt return man and everything else in the special teams. We gave away 1/3 of the game every game to the other team,no more 21yards on a punt please.RT,RG and Brick is not worth 14.1m at LT,RB just bring back Powell if the price is right(no brake away speed)Ivory runs into defenders we need a runner that runs away from defenders. Our OL was pretty good at opening up holes in the run game, our backs were ave at best at finding and running threw those holes and slow terribly slow.We need a good blocking TE,Gailey does not involve the TE on most pass plays. We could use DT in that role and save money.Trade or release Cumberland and the others. On D we need edge rushers from both sides and linebackers that are fast and can cover.Mauldin is good,Pace gotta go,too old and slow.Denver killed the patriots with rushing the passer mostly from the edges.Every year we need an edge rusher and never find one.We have a great Dl and pretty good CBs but no real pressure on the QBs cause of edge rushers. It would open up everything for the D if we find a stud to play at OLB.We have a lot of needs but we gotta get better if we`re really going to compete in the AFC.
