I am happy to see the word "piqued" used properly in a sentence on this site.

Bowles needs to watch every game and learn what he has done wrong. Obviously when Maccagnan got Revis, they both knew he was one of the best man corners in the NFL. In fact the Bucs used Revis in zone and he didn't look great. I hate it when coaches stick to their "scheme" even though it makes no sense with the current personnel. Gailey did an amazing job with what he had, but I can't say the same on defense. Bowles needs to adjust his strategy and fix the mistakes from this year. Year 2 will be a big year in telling us how good Bowles and Mac really are.

Revis is a press cover corner, he's at his best when playing man coverage. I don't see how that would interfere with what Bowles or Rodgers are trying to do on defense.

That was a quote from Cimini, not the OP.

I know that's what it seems like to us coaches watching the games from our couch. The ones that stand up on the sideline with headphones probably know things we do not.

Explains why such an obvious solution was not employed.

c'mon, doubling the opponents best player is not rocket science.

make them find another way to beat you.
    doing nothing was weak.

And sometimes your 16 Million Dollar Man just can't do what you think he can anymore.

Yes Jets fans demand a firing every year......then wonder why its been 47 years since we won a Superbowl...We haven't kept an entire staff together for multiple years ever it feels like

SO you give him safety help over the top. Defense held up well the first time around like many have commented already but go ahead and invent the wheel. It's mind numbing what happened. Still angry...

It's not about that - it's about evaluating what you are witnessing with your own eyes. If not I wouldn't give a s*it and wouldn't be a fan.

The one thing that blew me away about Revis this year was how every young stud WR got physical with him. In past years whenever they tried that with Revis he'd just own their ass. But he gave up some big TD's on plays designed to go right at him. Maybe Bowles saw something he didn't like and changed the game plan. It obviously didn't work.

The defensive game-plan against the Bills was counter-intuitive and ultimately bad, and the Jets failed to adjust even after it became obvious it wasn't working. The coaching staff failed miserably against the Bills, no question. In fact, the only members of the Jets organization who didn't fail miserably were Chris Ivory and the team bus driver.

That said, the Jets did go 10-6, and on the whole had a good (though not great) defense. Bowles and Rogers need to learn from their mistakes; but you certainly don't fire the DC of a good unit after a 10-6 season, regardless of how frustrating the final game was.
