I know this has been lost in the fact of the Baker play at the end of the game, but something that I thought was amazing was Ben Graham's 69 yard punt, and Brad Smith's tackle leading up to the last drive. The Jets were backed up at their own 20, Graham gets off a punt to the Cleveland 10 and Smith gets down there quickly and makes the tackle after a 1 yard return.

There weren't many bright spots from Sunday, but those 2 are turning into great Special Team's weapons.

The amazing thing about that punt was that there was no bounce to it. He kicked it in the air, 69 YARDS!

He has been the MVP in my eyes in all our games so far. Without him bailing us out of bad situations the scores against us could have been alot higher. Week in and week out this guy is just booming the heck out of the ball. AND HE'S ALL OURS.

more like 80 yards in the air (it was 69 from the line of scrimmage)

thats an incredible kick and great coverage by Brad Smith

If Smith can run that fast he has to be made a regular receiver. I have wondered if he could have caught up to that long ball thrown by Pennington. The one that was too long for LC. I am not dissing LC, but I wonder if Brad Smith could have gotten there.

We have to get this guy into the full dynamics of the game. He is too good to be used sporatically and on gadget plays.

it doesn't surprise me one bit, considering the paper's wrote about how he booted an 81 yard punt (90 in the air) with no bounce in practice this week

Is there any reason he can't do kickoffs? Or field goals for that matter?

Benny probably won't be able to do kick offs straight up because of the different style of kicking between AFL and NFL football. Unlike rugby, we never kick off a tee in AFL. That said, he may be able to - I don't actually know the guy.

In other news, I'm headed to New York in a few weeks and have tickets for the Texans game. There'll be four drunk Australians cheering Benny on whenever he gets on the pitch. Something along the lines of, "Beeeeeeeeny, Beeeeeeeeeeny..." We're pretty imaginative.

Welcome JP. Assume you have been lurking for a while. Make sure you do some tailgating and see what these mad bastards get up to before the game. Gotta have pics and a full description!! I am sure you could russle up an invite to a few through this board.

Yes, we as Aussies ARE pretty imaginative with our chants!! Like "Aussie, Aussie Oi Oi Oi"

You could also try the old standby "Stanley's a wanker" a few times ....I think he's their punter.

    Wish I could join you!

Coles is one of the fastest players in the game when he turns it on, I doubt Smith would have had any more luck.

in other news.... Port Adelaide Power(AFL)forward Stuart Dew has said today
he wants to leave Australia for the US to try out as a Punter. He also has a BIG leg.Not a big bloke though.Looks like any AFL players with a "Big Punt" are
    gonna have a go.

Gh theres no way. If coles couldnt catch that ball, nobody in nfl could. He's that fast.

I heard rumors of him running a 4.2 out of college. wow
