who knew fitzpatrick better then the bills. they knew his limitations as a downfield passer.in this game it was only a matter of time.that he would be intercepted by the bills defensive backs. The jets had better wise up and look to make a change at q.b. next season.
In 2 games vs Buffalo Shitzpatrick threw 6 picks, I really hope the FO isn't stupid enough to throw big money to keep him, him and Geno can get lost.
LOL. Cover the flat and underneath routes, watch the screen, and force him to throw deep. Fitz becomes helpless. His weaknesses were covered up by Brandon Marshall playing out of his mind all year long. I called it.
One of my biggest worries was that the Jets would make it to the AFCC, get their asses kicked, and they'd throw a 4-5 year deal at The Beard. I don't hate the guy, but he's a journeyman and not a franchise guy. I hope he does get a 3 year deal with starter incentives, but I don't want him to be considered the answer. Draft a guy in the 3rd round, let that guy and Petty compete with Fitz. Send Geno to the bottom of the sea.
There has never been a Jet offense that has gained more yards in a season, and the Jets have never had a QB that has thrown more touchdowns. We were down two RB's on a day when the wind was blowing 30 MPH. We had the same or a better record than 25% of the teams in the playoffs. Teams lose in the NFL. It wasn't our day. But this Shitzpatrick stuff and the over the top "woe is us" crap is stupid. I hope Fitz is back next year. He's the best we've got.
Fitz did a great job this year but he is not worth huge money. He will not be in high demand and the jets should be able to sign him to a team friendly deal
Gailey thought he was the guy as the head coach in Buffalo and gave him a stupid contract. History will repeat itself.
Fitz was like the 5th reason why we lost today and know one with half a brain think's he's the long term answer. He will get a short term deal while we find a replacement.
One of the great mysteries of the NFL is how a team in one of the biggest markets is unable to get their hands on a quality QB who can string together seven or eight good years.
