Square pegs and round holes. Rex is forcing the Bills D to play the schemes he was running with the Jets which really surprised me because I thought he had more adaptability on the defensive end. Last year, they just unleashed that 4-man DL and created havoc around the league. Someone of the Bills defense actually complained to the press about it. Looking back, I think the Bills would be in better shape if they managed to obtain Taylor at QB and elevated the DC to HC.
Yeah, I think it was Mario Williams who complained. I know they've been dropping him into coverage a lot when he should be rushing the passer more.
Square pegs in round holes is Rex's M.O. His defensive schemes are devastating when he has just the right personnel. But he runs the same schemes even without the guys he needs. When he was on the Ravens, he had Ray Lewis, Bart Scott, and Terrell Suggs in the LB corps, Ed Reed in the secondary, and Haloti Ngata taking up half the offensive line to block him. Rex had himself convinced that it was his schemes that were the reason for the Ravens' elite defense, not the fact that they had an ungodly amount of Pro Bowl talent.
Great question, but I would expect the Vikings at Packers for the NFC North Title to be Sunday Night Football.
Well I want to kick that Fat B ass and shut him up once and for all. IN my opinion our HC cost us the game last time when he didn't take the points... so I believe we can beat these guys.... esp. if we want it more then them!
Ironically, Rex Ryan was the one that pushed to trade for Taylor. Had Rex stayed the Jets coach, we probably would have traded for Taylor. Would have been really interesting. How Rex Ryan actually found and spotted this guy is a mystery...lol
I can see Rex jacked up for this game, but not his entire team. Jets roll into the playoffs on a 6 game win streak!
Yeah, Rex will make it his Super Bowl, but his team doesn't care. When the clock hits 0:00 they are headed home for the offseason. No cares at all. The Jets, on the other hand, are a hot team playing as one. I'll take a 1 point win, but I want a beat down.
I think we kick the crap out of the Bills next week, I can see this defense shutting them down and Fitz is going to go off. Huge blow out. _
No mystery, he was a player on his old team. If Tyrod was on any other team he wouldn't know jack and shit about him.
Then Rex can celebrate with his former players after. Woody can come shake his hand too. Rex will be so happy.
The 27 year jet fan in me still doesn't trust this team. Even with the weapons we have, an they are plentiful.
Rex Ryan at the season's end: 37-0 vs Cincy [They pulled starters.] 38-7 vs Bills [They always suck...] 17-19 vs Dolphins [And they suck too... AND Rex somehow lost this.] 9-28 vs Bills 20-7 vs Dolphins [Who-Cares-Bowl I] 37-24 vs Dolphins [Who-Cares-Bowl II] If this scares you, I don't know what to tell you.
