You can't tell whether or not he touched it, but it really didn't look like he did.

I doubt he touched it. The ball would have taken a different bounce if it did, unless he barely fingertipped it.

I thought it hit his leg. He didn't actually touch it with his hands.

I don't think he touched it...But his reaction sure did seem like it, he immediately turned around and ran after the ball as if he did...

From the first angle shown, it looked like it touched him, the second one you couldnt really tell. I dont think it could have been overturned either way even if it was called a muffed ball to begin with.

I saw that too, but as far as him touching the ball...it was inconclusive...

I said the same thing in the game thread. Usually, if a returner knows he didn't touch it, he would stay faced towards the oncoming players, not turn around and leave himself exposed to getting hit in the back. The quick reaction time in which he turned and went for the ball further implies that he felt the ball nick him.

On the other hand, if you saw the trajectory of the ball on its downward course, it didn't look like it was impeded in any way. Seemed like it went clean through his hands.

On SNY Post Game Live, Ray Lucas kept saying how if he didn't touch it, he wouldn't have ran back after it, basically saying he felt the player did touch it.

After seeing one of the really good views on the replay, I was convinced he didn't touch it. Maybe it BARELY hit his fingertip, but the umps wouldn't have called it in our favor anyway I'm sure.

Would you settle for a photo of a bunny with a pancake on it's head?

What are you talking about? Look at his finger tips! The ball hits there and you can see his finger tips move down. I FUCKING HATE THESE FUCKING REFS!

No one can say with any certainty if he touched it or not. His reaction tells us he thinks he did touch the ball but the Zebras have the final say!

I am biased toward the Jets being an addicted fan, but I think that call was correct; he did not touch the ball.

The Baker play at the end of the game sickens me, though. Bad call by refs. We should have gone to OT to decide the game.

If Becht were on that play, we wouldn;t be worrying about whether the refs got the call right or not; the only 2 things that would have been guaranteed would be that Becht would have fallen, and the ball would have hit the ground untouched.

The reaction by Cribbs was a dead give away. He touched it and he knew it. He never would have ran after a punt that had just bounced, returners are always taught to get away from a bouncing punt. He ran after it instead.... he touched it all right.

I played returner I can tell you with absolute certainty he touched that ball, you never chase after a punt unless you touch it. If you didn't touch it you get the hell away because those things bounce crazy sometimes. The last thing you want as a returner is to have the ball bounce backwards and hit you and then the other team recovers. If you muff it you better do what you can to get that ball back. He knew the ball hit him otherwise he would have ran away from the ball not towards it.
