Given our schedule hasn't seen us beat a team with a .500 or above record then I'm not really sure how to judge what we could do against the top teams in the AFC. I don't think our Defense can be considered elite when TJ Yates toasts us and whilst I'm 'hopeful' rather then living in dread when our offense takes the field I'm not 'expectant' the same way I am when Ben or TB take the field. If we do get in then its as 'best of the rest' and from then on its any given Sunday but I don't think we'll be heading into any game as anyones dark horse pick.
So it was JJ Watt playing catch with DeAndre Hopkins? I must have my guys with initials as first names mixed up. I could swear it was Yates.
Good god that is optimistic. The Jets would be underdogs against everyone but the Colts, Jags, and Bungles. The Broncos D is one of the best in the league and just because they are playing with a back up QB, doesn't mean ti would be an easy win. The jets got torched by Houston with a backup. Go with Vegas, not the pundits and especailly not your heart. That said, I would love nothing more than to have that happen.
Damn. Some people are really drinking the Kool-Aid. That alright I suppose. We're fans. We can dream. I guess. We will see what happens. This team has not had a signature win against a quality opponent yet. I believed the Jets could win the Super Bowl three times. After they beat San Diego in '09. After they beat NE in '10. And at the start of the season against NE in '99 I don't feel that way about this team.
Really? We are the 6th Wild Card but yet the Steelers are being talked about like they already made the playoffs.Id save this thread for when we actually get in if that actually happens
If KC/Jets/Steelers all go 3-0 the last three weeks, Jets are out. And that is real possibility. Chiefs only have VERY easy schedule ahead of them. Steelers have Broncos this weekend, and Jets have Patriots next week. If Jets have same record as Steelers, Jets are out
It really says a lot about the environment surrounding a franchise when the focus for a lot of people is the sad fact that if the Jets, Pittsburgh and Kansas City all win 3 games in a row, the Jets miss the playoffs. I wonder what negative thing we'll seek out if the other two teams lose and only the Jets win this weekend...
