I agree that we would have been dangerous, and may have even won it all, but I don't think so for two reasons. One, is that Vinny usually self destructed at some point. Two, as good as CuMar was, he often disappeared in big games.
Lol...2040 sitting in my rocking chair boring my grandkids with these jets stories Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
People talk about Belichick being our enemy, man we were at war with Shula for DECADES. I still hate him more than Belichick.
He's a competenent QB. We're just not use to having solid QB play. An average QB like Fitz can have a big season when he's got talent like Marshall and Decker to throw to. Plus he's in a system he's familiar with.
Kind of weird that Sanchez's 26 TD passes thrown (another 6 on the ground) in 2011 is not on this list? It's like we are trying to purposely or subconsciously erase him from the Jets history books…LOL
Yet some question the "talent level" on this team in relation to making the playoffs and/or competing for a Super Bowl. If we don't make the playoffs, that should be a failure laid at the feet of the coaching staff, mainly Bowles. This team is plenty good enough to compete with playoff caliber teams; we just don't always show up.
Thanks for reminding us how trash our QB history has been. not one single franchise qb. I'm young and i never watched Namath play outside of the SB game that comes on nfl network.. but his numbers were ass. Brett Favre our best QB ever lmao
So wwith all these offensive records that are on pace to be broken... is it safe to say that this is the best jets offense of all time???? I know the chan gailey bashers better not answer this question.
ITT: A bunch of woe-is-me losers whine about not having Manning or Montana as their QB. Newsflash - the Jets aren't the only team that hasn't had a HOF QB line up behind center.
Oh yes...he was on the rules committee I believe...and many felt because of that his team's got beneficial treatment from the officials and were consistently the least penalized team in the NFL Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
It seems like whenever Jets fans start talking about a Jets player being "on pace to" do anything it never happens and the fan-base ends up disappointed. I say reset expectations - "Fitzpatrick is on pace to be inconsistent, flawed, and fatigued in the 4th quarter." He may give enough to win 3 or 4 games though as his last six games have looked like this over the years: 2011: 1-5 (the big contract year after starting 4-2) 2012: 2-4 2013: 3-3 2014: 3-3
Stevie Johnson, Fred Jackson and CJ Spiller were known to catch a pass or two. Andre Johnson was no slouch either.
