I don't like the sound of that at all. That reminds me too much of Parcells and "his guys." Cro sucks and should not be starting. If Bowles sticks with that approach, then I hope he's not around here very long. This is VERY disappointing, and the first big sign I've seen that he may not be a quality HC. The team not showing up in a couple of games is also a concern for me since it was such a common problem with Rex. We may need some verbal leaders in the locker room and on the field that will get in other players' faces. If so, we'll have to hope that Mac will find them sooner rather than later, but Bowles will have to be that guy in the interim. He's gonna have to kick some butt, bench some players, and get their attention.
Like it or not I think the bold above correctly sums up our rookie HC's thinking. The other factor is that before all the injuries hit us, these very guys who folks are complaining about right now had our defence and offense humming along quite nicely. So, there is a bit more to consider than there might appear to be.
