So was Gholston. Who cares? The guy has played sparingly in 3 years because he can't stay healthy and except for a few games down the stretch of his rookie year he's been kinda terrible.
It can also be asked why Devin Smith doesn't get a shot and the only logical answer is fitz can't get the ball to him as he has shown on the few plays he has been in for...and what about Petty? Are we really going to hsve to suffer thru geno again if fitz has surgery friday?
The Jets are going with players that are going to help them win. Dee is prob still banged up/hurt or just hasn't been showing it in practice. If he can't do it in practice he doesn't belong on the field. (but i'm a gamer, coach) Devin smith on the other hand runs limited routes, doesn't fight for the ball and has not developed chemistry with Fitz . Things that he may or may not develop over time. They tried to get Smith going earlier in the year but after Enunwa got suspended & Owusu went down they needed to find a reliable 3rd wr and it looks like its a mix of Kerley & Thompkins. Kerley in the slot when Decker & Marshall are on the outside or on the sidelines (even though Gaily likes big WRs in the slot) and Thompkins primarily on the outside to help stretch. Not ideal but until Enunwa comes back its the best we got. The guy I'm confused about is Dozier. Not saying he needs to be cut but he looks expendable. He isn't the primary back-up at guard and apparently not at center either since we had to promote W.Johnson the past 2 weeks for Mangold. Totally thought he would be cut by now due to injuries but looks like he beat out J.Harrison. Not a fan of Bowen either. I think Douz is just a better player. Expecting Dozier or Bowen to get cut for a fill in kicker this week.
Dee didn't practice today because of an illness? Every day it is becoming more and more clear he is the latest Jet draft bust.

Anyway, I think the OP really wanted to get a sense from other fans why Dee Millner wasn't being rushed back like some other players. That's my take. Look at the situation at QB: Fitz is injured and they can't wait to get him back under center because (it seems) the CS really does not want to put the ball in Geno's hands. OTOH, as has been pointed out we need a CB and Millner's return really hasn't been talked up AFAIK. Maybe I missed it, maybe it means nothing, but it does seem like an interesting point given that Cro is really looking spent.
i mean the kid just got off IR last week and we all know or should know TB doesn't play you if you weren't practing or "in the gameplan" lol. Dee is now a dime corner, maybe he'll rotate in and out with whoever needs a breather or gets hurt. Buffalo only has 1 1/2 good WRs and wouldn't dare run a spread O... so Dee wasn't needed. Same in Houston.. 1 1/2 good WRs... where will Dee be needed? Maybe if we can start blowing some teams out early and force them to pass for the remainder of the game we'll see Deebo!
